Klingberg skating up with the puck way too fast on the PP, completely throws the drop pass timing off and then it snowballs from there… that should be an easy coaching fix yet it keeps happening…

He has thrown everything off on the power play. It has only worked when he gets a seeing eye wrister through the crowd. Having flashbacks to Suter run PPs.

Most entertainment I’ve had watching this game. To be fair that thing sticks out a foot from the boards when he’s standing in between the benches.

to be fair he had only a few games with Kaprizov before he got hurt, the PP strategy in night/day different when he’s playing….

But his breakout timing needs to slow down.. Jets almost got one of them with Jojo still behind the net…

Merrill should be benched for the rest of the season. He has been horrible for the past two months.

Might want to keep Kirill off the ice the rest of the game, its gonna get chippy and some scrub Jet could do something stupid..

This is where Reaves needs to be vocal to the Jets

Bowness called Dean a chicken Sh*t for sitting his best players but who blames him for all the cheap crap they were pulling. That cross check on Johansson was ridiculous. Bowness even challenged Dean to a fight and Dean waived him over! Love it.

If that was any player besides Jojo I’d be worried but he’s down the tunnel 3x a game, I’m sure it’s just an owie. So if you’re a Jets fan then Bones was big mad because Deano put Reaves on the ice. I can’t believe Lowry actually fought there but kudos to him for stepping up.

Rough game that got outta hand and as always where did it all start….
Ryan Hartman jester hahaha I love him

    Also Rick Bowness:

The formula to beat the Wild was made completely obvious last night. Play physical and even a little cheap against the Wild’s top players to keep them off their game. Evason will do nothing about it. He won’t go after the other team’s top players and won’t put his enforcer on the ice for retribution until the game is out of reach and over. I put much of what went on, on Evason.

nah, that’s just rivalry hockey… Kirill took a couple of pushes near the goalie, maybe rubbed out a little along the boards, big deal, every team does it…oh and remember one of their better players (Eihlers) got absolutely blasted (kudos to Hartman for making it look kinda like a hockey play, but he knew exactly what he was doing)

Yes, the crosscheck on Johansson was dirty, but that play happens all the time, he just caught him sideways so he got more ribs than anything, as tswoboda mentioned, Johansson is a softy and curls up in a ball on the ice if you breath on him wrong…

Deano will most likely take a good fine because Reaves faught in the last few minutes of the game, the Refs actually handled the end of the game correctly (forget about the rest of the game) by giving Foligno the boot before he did anything…

The Wild can absolutely play the BIG game if needed, no worries about that in the playoffs…

Does the formula include the goalie stopping 33 of 34 shots and Wild hitting 3 pipes? How about the open net paddle save? Is Flower having a meh game part of that formula?

The rough stuff was all started by the Wild. All started after Reaves absolutely crushed one of their D from behind and then Hartman concussed one of their stars with a reverse hit. Guys were getting after Nino all night too. The Wild were the more physical and dirty team last night

Fleury did not look good last night. He can be lights out, but at times his style of play gets him out of position after the first save leaving the net wide open which happened multiple times last night.

As if the the Wild cared about winning that game. Reaves was on the ice plenty. Played almost 12 minutes.

Can we just send Iowa down to Nashville to play the last game please?

That’s only if an instigator is called which is never called on a fight straight off a face-off. Lowry was a willing combatant he had absolutely no obligation to fight there but I think it’s a big message to his team that he did. Reaves was clearly sent out to send a message and intimidate the Jets and Lowry was like F that bring it on buddy.

Hellebuyck made some unreal saves (possibly save of the year on Zuccy) but my god do we ever have it in for the pipes, especially Dewar… I wouldn’t put the first 2 goals on Flower either, they were ping-pong pucks that fell right onto Jets sticks…the 3rd goal was a terrible Kingberg decision and Flower not getting his stick paddle flat on th eice, he read the play correctly though…

I don’t know, it was timed pretty darn well by Hartman (again I think he did it on purpose)…he’ll claim it was a reverse hit after he passed it a 1/2 second before Ehlers basically skated into his path, there was zero targeting the head…maybe he’ll get 1 game based on his history otherwise it’s an interference penalty imo…Ehlers is tiny too so any hit on him will look huge…

    Hartman 100% getting suspended

Ehlers isn’t notably small he just plays a soft game

That coach is chicken s#$% for running Kirill all game and then going after our top players at the end of the game. What’d he think was gonna happen?

You really think Hartman will get disciplined for that hit? It was clean other than being interference.

    I agree he’ll get something because there’s a hearing and he has history, I’ll say 1 game…

I must have missed them running at Kirill all game? maybe a few extra pushes after the whistle or slashes, but that’s hockey…I thought Ehlers maybe took a bit of a run at him at the end of the game, but not 5 seconds later Ehlers was crushed to the ice for it…

For sure, intent to injure. Probably right with 1 game to not interfere with playoffs – they count playoff games as worth about 5 regular season games.

Did Ehlers play after he got rocked? Can’t figure out if he was concussed or just got the wind knocked out of him. He was done for the night. Grabbing his head going off the ice and on the bench. Concussed right before playoffs, Jets have every right to be pist.

Personally I thought it was just plain old interference. Not a dirty hit IMO. He’ll likely get suspended though which I think is dumb while Pionk had a complete dirty crosscheck and will get nothing.

I don’t know. He hit him square in the chest. Was it a little late after the puck was gone yes, but he hit him to give Zucc some room to move with the puck. Sure his history isn’t going to help him, but I didn’t think it was dirty at all.

Ehlers was backchecking and going to avoid contact – Hartman concussed him.

    That’s not dirty?

It was a joke they gave Hartman an extra minor there. I’m sure they were chatting about giving him a major but didn’t think he deserved the matching game misconduct so just made up a phantom roughing call to give Jets a powerplay.
