13 games left and ten points clear of a playoff spot. Seeding is not that important.
They just came off 14 game point streak lose to best team in NHL and tomorrow game is real important?
What if they lose tomorrow are they finished?

limited home games left and against a desperate Caps team and do we pencil in at least 2ppg’s for Ovi right now?

The only seed really matters is the one that has to play Colorado 1st round. So just don’t finish 7th?? Probably??

Sounds like the Addy hate is out. Another hopeful prospect turns into trade bait. Next!

    Take a breath. He’s 22 years old

I caught a few minutes of Deano’s postgame presser while driving and Russo asked him about the “Multiple” breakdowns on the Bergeron goal (it felt like Russo was testing to see if Deano would mention Freddy) and of course he talked about the defenseman failures (didn’t mention Addy by name) but he never once mentioned Freddy getting beat and not covering Bergeron in the high slot so he’s wide open for the 1 timer…its just gross the double-standard he has about never criticizing Freddy, trust me the players hear and see it…so its likely Addy and Goose to the press box tomorrow and moving forward…

They could have won 6-1 with 2 points each and those 2 were still going to the press box

Boston had about 5 chances like that with a forward screaming down the high slot. It’s a team wide defensive break down when that stuff happens that many times, not really something worth pinpointing on 1 guy. The only reason I pointed out Addy is because it was a textbook example of the exact thing he’s struggled with all year… being passive in the D zone.

Good lord the “what ifs” had we given Boldy somebody with speed and skill to play with earlier this season…

Really nice pass play there. Stone hands used his stone feet to kick it up to his stick flawlessly. applause

Oh and Marco Rossi had a natural hat trick late last night for Iowa… the kid has something like 15 points in his last 7 games… Really nice to see him catching fire at the end of the season this year after he hit a brick wall the last 20 games last year… shows his maturity is growing…

Making Reaves a goal scoring machine again. It was Krill who was holding him back. Their styles clashed, but now RR is unleashed.

Boldy still has so much to learn about offensive awareness and how to get his shot off in traffic, once he starts to figure it out he’s gonna be soooo much better of a player and point producer..

    I keep forgetting he’s still basically a rookie…

    I think Walker scores today…

    damn, ya’ll keeping receipts? )

You can pencil in 1-2 Ovi PPG’s EVERY Wild game… I stand by my Boldy assessment though, even with today’s trick, he was still making a lot of foolish plays all over the ice (especially the power play)

Once he cleans that part of his game up (and improves his 1 timer) he’ll be an absolute force in the league (and that 7 year contract will look like Ek’s does right now, as friggin steal)…nice to see him handling the added pressure of scoring with Kaprizov being out so well…

Nice to see a couple correct instigator calls in today’s game.

Well Frederic sucker punched a guy last night and they somehow think that Greenway is some tough guy that should have went after him. He has maybe been in what 2 fights in his career. Plus he is just a mess defensively.

    I think he has 1 point (goal) and is a -1 in the 7 games he’s been a Sabre, he’s been getting around 14 minutes a game…

still can’t beleive GMBG got out of that contract with a 2nd & 5th round picks…

Sounds like last nights game was another good one! That Dumba hit looked clean to me, but absolutely destroyed Kuznetsov.

Yeah it was a great game. Ovi never disappoints from his office. Man he’s like automatic and there seems to be nothing anyone can do to stop it. Ridiculous.

Random thought I wonder if they’ll ever try him at wing in the NHL? I’m getting Mikael Granlund 2.0 vibes

Pretty easy to move to wing from center. With their roster I think they need to invest all they can with him at center.

Yeah I agree much easier to move to wing from center than the other way around. Hartman has been seemingly playing much better being reunited with the top line.

Not even saying it has to be a forever switch. Look what Ottowa did with Jimmy Stu or LA is doing with Byfield right now. I get the Wild need/want centers long term and Rossi has been a center his whole life. But then we’ve also said how does he fit into this line-up? The two top-6 centers are returning next year and unless they resign Jojo and he stays on this heater… Boldy’s wing is the big black hole again.

Don’t disagree but I don’t think switching him at this point in the season would make much sense for his development.

Getting ahead of ourselves, but if all things stay pretty much the same for next year, where does Rossi even play on the Wild? I think GMBG really likes Ek in the 2C slot now…so they either move Hartman or Gaudreau, I really don’t see either of those moves happening unless they don’t plan on resigning Hartman in 2024…
