Johannson? I always felt these cute little pet names for players was just weird. Shortening everyone’s last name and ending it with a Y where did that ever come from? I think the NHL is the only sport to do this. Didn’t get to watch last night but watched some highlights this morning. Looked fun! So no Kaprizov and now the flood gates open with goal scoring! This team is psychotic!

I picked a hell of a game to sleep through. Woke up during the 2nd intermission highlights like wtf just happened. Just in time see my boy Reavo score… Again.

I watched up until we got the lead. I got to see the almost goalie fight which would have been electric. Man Binner is a chode.
Saturday’s game will be very interesting, Bruins have lost their last 2 games and are in Winnipeg tonight…sounds like Brodin could be back Saturday (along with Middleton) so we should be rested and mostly healthy again…
The Maple Leaf – Avalanche snoozefest lulled me into a coma so a I missed the electric Blues – Wild game.

x100!!! Binnington and Schenn both looked and reacted like toddlers. Binnington barely got touched and imo initiated the contact, then spazzed like my 5 year old when I turn Pokemon off. And Schenn was about 3 minutes late on the shove, may as well just asked for a penalty.
I see Binnington gets a meeting with Player Safety. Suspension? Or just a fine?
He should get a suspension with all his other antics but probably just a fine.

In prospect news Bankier had 3 goals on 3 shots last night and I think a couple assists. THat is good. Hopefully this big dude can make an impact up the middle.
Firstov and Khusnutdinov heading to OT in the KHL playoffs right now. Firstov had the goal to tie it 1-1 with 2 minutes left. Hopefully he comes back to Iowa after this season.
In prospect news Bankier had 3 goals on 3 shots last night and I think a couple assists. THat is good. Hopefully this big dude can make an impact up the middle.
He had 3G/3A and was a +8 !!!! What’s crazy is there was a teammate who had 4G/4A and was a +6….it was an 11-1 win…
Lots to be excited about with our prospects. The GM meetings were just held and it sounds like Bettman may be receptive to raising the salary cap next year, but there are some hurdles to get over first. That’s encouraging.
And now Firstov almost just pulled off the michigan in OT. Goalie actually made a nice save on it
That Bettman salary cap mumbo jumbo was complete BS. He’s such a little weasel. He’s just throwing that out there so it would get in the media and now he can say it was the PA that didn’t want the cap to go up instead of the league.

If you’re Firstov and his agent, you look at the prospect pool the Wild has and the number of guys likely ahead of him and the idea of getting him signed doesn’t look very good…
