Gus was a stud again and I cannot believe Freddy Shootout didnt score.

Freddy was the only one who DID score in the shootout.

He did score? I thought he missed, but maybe my eyes were glossed over.

To many no look passes to nobody.

    To many passes.

Need to shoot first, ask questions later.

Perfect summary. The number of no-look passes that landed squarely on a Flames stick…

Also, these low % thread-the-needle passes. Ugggggg. Yes, yes, yes, of course pros can make those passes connect, but the problem is there are guys with sticks on the opposing team that are just as good at picking those passes off.

And then when they finally did score (taken away, obviously) in OT, it was just the classic put the shot on the pads and good things happen.

Klingberg looks to be a really, really good deal.

I can’t believe anyone would say they noticed Greenway’s absence. The good news is there was a player who was easy to replace and NOT spend more money doing so.

He is a shootout master for sure. Im going to have to look up his percentage if that is even track but its got to be like 90% this year.

MN is the perfect team for Klingberg to thrive on. We have a great defensive system from the forwards back. Give him some time and his offense will come back and it will be lights out. This team is much better equipped for a playoff run now after those moves.

It’s right. Anything over 40% is elite and there’s only a couple players over 50% career (with more than like 25 attempts)

I think in general we overestimate shootouts/penalty shot success and that’s why I’d rather have a powerplay than a penalty shot in most instances.

Well I’d take Gus over him any day of the week the way hes playing alone.

The boys look pretty tired tonight after last nights hose job. One shot after 12 minutes? Eeesh.

Nice snipe by Foligno. But lots of sloppy play overall. They look like they’re in slow motion tonight. Fleury is keeping them in the game.

Of all the players to fall on you, Kaprizov gets the biggest mofo in the league… last time we thought he was seriously hurt he only missed 1 game, lets hope that the case again with the Russian Bear…

I suspect its something less serious like a lower back strain, if the trainers thought it was anything serious they wouldn’t let him just skate off the ice by himself…
