WHere does he fit? Both now and when Brodin is back? I just don’t see the fit with him at all other than putting him in Addison’s spot.

Nesterenko??!! Not saying he’s great, he’s maybe a C level prospect. But he’s a year and half from being able to walk and there hasn’t been any of that talk on him.I just read it last week someone asked about him and it was either Joe Smith or Russo that said as such.
I’d bet good money you’re thinking of Firstov…

Nope, Russo just tweeted it again.
Nesterenko is the prototype for drafted US College Hockey Players that don’t shine their first few years…their draft team doesn’t sign them early, they play out their college career, hopefully keep improving and then go the UFA route to find a better organization fit…
Saw the new tweet from Russo, never been printed before though.
Any return for Kulikov is a good return lol what did he fetch? They must not have watched his playoff game film
So it looks/sounds like the Wild will basically be auditioning their Defense the last 20 games to see who plays in the playoffs…if Klingberg sucks, he’ll likely watch from the press box…

McGinn and a 3rd round pick. The Wild didnt get anything did they?

nope, he was a cap dump
So in total we brought in 4 and only shipped 1. Hmmmm Goimg to some not so happy players sitting up stairs.
Yeah, Im guessing Steel gets waived and then sent to Iowa if he clears at the very minimum. They are projecting Sundquist at wing instead of Center which is interesting.
By the way for as good as he was in the game he scored he was dreadful last night.
Don’t know much about him but guessing he can replace greenway up a line if need be better than say Reavo.
Overall Dom and Pronman gave the Wild pretty good grades on their trades today. Sundquist was the worst rating by both of them.
Can Addy be sent down without having to go on waivers still?
Sounds like the never officially asked Goose to lift his NTC.
Does this affect a Faber signing as in will he now sign a minor league deal instead?
I dont think he can be sent down which stinks. I cannot remember the number of games played but Im sure hes over it.
Wow, spent my day focused on work and missed three pages of posts!
I don’t see how Kling and Addy can be in the lineup together.
Me either. They are essentially the same player. I wonder if this means Addison is gone after this season? Klingberg is a UFA too I guess, but its kind of odd.

You didnt have a commitment to the bit brother!
Also don’t see Faber getting much NHL time this year unless Spurg or Brodin get hurt which would kind of suck either way.
Sounds like waivers are done now so steel staying. Going to be a packed box each night.
They might need two sheets of ice at practice.
Every one of the guys BG brought in has big playoff experience or Cup Cred. Business as usual for BG.
Buffalo now has 13 skaters not goalies 6’2 or bigger. 7 that are 6’4 or bigger. That is some serious beef.
I don’t know what’s more impressive BG’s wheeling and dealing this year, or this threads ability to instantly analyze the moves! #StateofHockey
Who needs Russo and Joe Smith you got IDO.
This is where I check out anything Wild first. I appreciate the input from the regular posters.
Don’t hate the moves at all and not giving up much of anything. Bringing in some solid players for not much risk. Greenway has been underwhelming for far to long. Making the best of the situation they are in. Still really want a 1st line center though for KK.
Faber and his agent will demand he signs his ELC the day after the Gophers final game and burn through the 1st year this playoffs, no way he’d sign an AHL tryout contract now and start his ELC next year…. It still gets us a likely top4 defenseman the next 2 years on an ELC deal…
I was really worried BG would put a dent in our prospects at this deadline and really not get anything back to move the needle. I feel like this team is more than a couple deadline deals away from legitimately contending. He got a few pieces to see if they can help this team offensively and really didn’t give up a whole lot. I still don’t think it’s going to move the needle enough, but our prospects didn’t hardly get touched.
