Joel Edmundson would be PERFECT this playoffs and NEXT season, just need Montreal to eat money…

Holy F Joe that man is cooked. Not saying he didn’t have a role once upon a time but he’s been hammered with injuries and he’s the worst D in the league right now. They better not go anywhere near him.

He plays for the gongshow that is Montreal.. yes he’s had a ton of injuries the past few years but he’s supposed to be healthy now…i’ll admit i’m biased towards him and have wanted him on the Wild for years….obviously dudiligence needs to be done on his game and health, but he’s exactly the type of defenseman we need (mean and nasty)

This trade deadline coverage on ESPN+ is awesome. Ive had it on in the background all day. Boudreau is fantastic.

Just looking at schedules for March, Dallas has 12 tough games before they get Chicago & Arizona…Wild has a bit easier March schedule and the Avs have by far the easiest…

Then the Wild likely has the toughest April schedule of the 3…

expect the standings to change back & forth quite a bit the rest of the season…

at least the ESPN+ show is more focused on ALL NHL teams…can only take so much Toronto talk on TSN….

I can see them maybe adding a bottom D man with Grit but definitely not a top 4.

    What was the return?

Don’t know yet, honestly if not retaining any salary (which it doesn’t sound like there is) that’s a win in of itself… maybe a 3rd if we’re lucky?

Sounds like for a 2023 2nd round pick and a 5th rounder too. He needed to go bad!

A 2nd and a 5th is a good return for him! 2nd is this year lets go Judd!

Yeah, that was a great trade! WTG BG! Second round alone would have been a good pick especially since its this year. The second round is essentially most years first round talent.

Sundquist? Man, BG is swinging the big balls today.

We can all see the appeal other teams would have for Greenway has with that Size, he just never put it together other than a few spurts of 4-5 games in a row…

I think the laziness of showing up late to games this season is the tip of the iceberg unfortunately…way to cash out before he became immovable…and we have Duhaime to take over at a fraction of the caphit…

I think the Jeannot trade return infleunced this just a bit…

another forward though? This guy likely means Shaw and Reaves will sit for the playoffs…I’d like to see 1 more D added then call it quits…

The 2nd rounder from Buffalo is actually Vegas’s, it allows Judd to jump up a few spots in the 1st or 2nd round and grab a guy they really want…but its all about the cap savings…

Yes it is there is extra high end talent at the beginning of the draft it doesn’t make the whole 2nd round first round talent because there are a few more than normal at the front of the draft class.

Don’t disagree that it was a good return, but not let’s kid ourselves that it’s an automatic ticket to the show.

Didn’t know who Oskar was now I know why.
He has playing 4th line wing for the wings.

What did we give up? Anyone know?

Buffalo is going to be gigantic up front.

Greenway is happy to go to Buffalo due to the increased chance of stay home snow days to play more video games….

The first round in 2023 is being compared to the 2003 draft and look at how many future HOF players were in that draft? So many elite players and they are saying this draft is actually better. Typically the first round you get maybe 3 or 4 regular NHLers or potential stars and then it falls off like a cliff. Even wheeler has said the second rounders in this draft are better than most years first round talent. Not sure where you have been hiding but this is probably the best draft we will see in decades.

There’s so much smoke on Goligoski it likely means he’s going to be dealt…he wants to play and his contract allows him to be cut next year with no cap hit…

I look at it this way, our prospect pool is in such a good spot that we can afford to take some home run swings on guys vs taking safe picks…the more swings you have, the better the odds of hitting…or like I said, if somebody they have ranked super high slips, it might be enough ammo to jump up and grab him earlier than your pick…

I haven’t but to say the second round is all first round talent is a stretch.
Even in 03 there were only a handful of regular NHLers with a couple of high end talent that slipped over looked matured what have you.

Not saying it’s not a good draft but to think in the 2nd you are getting an automatic first is a stretch.
