Joe thanks for sharing that link! Just finished watching it. It is pretty fascinating what the human body can do, but having that injury fully heal without surgery is unreal.

Kinda weird if you ask me. They traded a goalie to LA right in exchange for Quick only to then send him away?

They got a goalie back from Vegas it seems.

Was part of the Gavrikov trade so I look at as a 1st for Gavrikov, 3rd for the Goalie, and Quick was part of it just for cap space.

Moving Quick to Vegas was just to be nice to him. And I guess they got a 7th, probably conditional.
Will Quick actually play in the playoffs for Vegas? He’s been terrible this year but I guess they have 3 goalies on IR, unreal.

Is Nyquist a guy we could resign? Looks like he cap hit this year was 5.5. Seems like a stretch but he would be a nice middle of the road forward if they could resign him somehow.

If they don’t sign others like Freddy maybe but it is so tight next year. He would have to sign for way less.

How do you all think we will do the next few years with the cap hits? When I hear Russo talk about it, it scares me to think we will be terrible or barely cracking into the playoffs.

I would have taken him for a 2nd maybe even a third.

About the same as they are now probably a bit younger.

Its really just next season thats the big cap problem, the year after that the NHLPA will have paid off its covid escrow payment and the Salary cap will jump 4-5 million which makes the final pain year of the buyouts alot more manageable…

Joel Edmundson still available… if we could get Montreal to retain some salary for next year (it would up the price) he’d be a great fit right now and add a ton of grit and toughness on the backend…he’d also be able to play Top 4 next year if Faber isnt ready and Addison and Dumba are both gone…
