I was perusing youtube and happened across some videos of these 8 and 9 year olds that are just plain ridiculous. The one is 12 now. One kid is from the hockey hotbed Alaska, while the other is from the other hockey hotbed Texas. Roman Marcotte is the one from Alaska and Kaden Galatiuk is the other one. I guess he is 12 now too.

Maybe the next wave of Oliver Wahlstom’s

Not sure on height but I gained 25 lbs between my junior and senior year of high school. Just saying it’s a little early to call him a smurf. And who cares if he makes 6′ tall?! Bedard is just getting to the age when kids put on muscle mass.

All true I guess. KK isnt that big either but he is built like an ox.

Lots of Greenway+draft pick for JVR smoke right now. Really unfortunate that Greenway has played himself being a cap-dump this year.

Does JVR move the needle at all? It would help Boldy I think but I thought Greenway was starting to play better lately. He is going to be a cap casualty though I am sure.

I saw a report yesterday that the Wild were calling the Flyers about Kevin Hayes. Again though, I don’t see how they afford him at a $7 mill cap hit next season.

JVR moves the needle a little bit in terms of offense (he still has decent hands around the net) but he’s slow, so any transition game is out of the question…GMBG needs to get on the phone with the other team that was interested in the Jeannot trade that drove the price through the roof…

There’s so much BS floating around right now, its hard to beleive any of it…

I watched the Dallas vs Canucks game last night and Boeser looked completely checked out… not a good sign…The Dallas TV guys were dropping Kaprizov’s name all night comparing Kuzmenko to him…

Interesting ending to that game with an obvious controlled entry into the zone, but the puck wasn’t on the stick when crossing the blueline…took like 10 minutes to review…

No interest in vanRiemsdyk personally – seems like a “trade for the sake of making a trade”. More interested in Greenway and how they’re trying to give him away for free.

Canucks are just a hot mess this year period. Has to be a tough place to play this year. With that said I wasn’t very high on Brock, but not many rentals move the needle either at this point.

Tampa had no other choice, but to give up quantity over quality picks for Jennot. Seems a bit rich still but I am not going to question the moves that club makes. They obviously know what they are doing. They seem to target the guys that fit in perfectly the last few trade deadlines.

I do like their thinking with draft picks however. Basically I would rather have a player in the league than one that MAY be in the league 5 years from now.

But but but he is kind of one of us as he lives here in the off season jester

I guess it depends on what Greenway the Wild expects to show up the next 2 seasons…if its the same one playing this year, you’d be ok with just getting out of that contract and using the capspace on more important spots…of course there’s risk that he “figures it out” somewhere else and becomes the dominate player we’ve only seen flashes of in his 5+ years here…

Unless they are making a hockey trade with Greenway not sure why you would dump him at the deadline. It’s not as if his stock will get any lower come the off season.

maybe they think he’s just worthless on the ice (he sorta has been) and a Beckman or Walker would be better? I agree it doesn’t have to happen at the deadline, but they’ll need his capspace by the start of next season…

IDK I take it as they’re jumping at any chance to off-load him. Could see him being even tougher to move in the off-season.

Greenway is probably the most replaceable player on the roster right now. Weve been hoping he’d “figure it out” for how many years now? Its time to move on.

Oilers just gave away Poolparty for free and he’s basically Greenway but with better hands and less beef. Big difference is his $3m contract is up after this year vs. Greenway has 2 more seasons. Could be really tough to make Greenway go away.

yep…chalk him as another failed Oilers top 5 pick…he’s got some mental issues that make you question if he even wants to play hockey in the NHL anymore…Greenway isn’t at that point YET…

This is where i’m hoping GMBG and Vancouver’s GM can get creative…Per his agent, Boeser wants to play for MN, Wild wants to get rid of Greenway. Perhaps they can come to an agreement of swapping players (plus a D prospect (Hunt or O’Rourke) and a future draft pick going to Vancouver for them retaining some 10-15% salary) and the Wild finds a 3rd team that needs to get to the cap floor to retain a larger 50% portion of Boesser’s salary for a much better than typical retention future draft pick (Like a 2024+ 2nd round pick)

Wild gets a 2nd line shooter for Boldy to span the big cap penalty years
Vancouver get’s a draft pick and a young player with size and $3 million capspace back
(Arizona/Chicago/Ducks) team that retains some of Boeser’s contract gets closer to the cap floor and gets a good draft pick for it…

So Greenway and 2nd to Canucks for Boeser (10% retained) and a banker also gets a 2nd? Why would the Canucks do that? More likely trade is Greenway and a 2nd for Freddy Charles.

LOL ok so with as many times as you edited that I think you’re realizing it doesn’t make sense for Vancouver.

I think Vancouver is getting to the point of wanting to cut loose of Boeser…I updated my proposal to include a Wild D prospect as well (O’Rourke or Hunt) They obviously haven’t been able to find a taker for Boeser all year, so here’s a chance to at least get $3 million in capspace back , prospect & pick and see if they can get more out of Greenway…

and yes its been edited as I weigh the pieces better.. I don’t think it needs to make perfect sense for Vancouver, they are way passed that point… so their decision (if they want to trade him) is to either eat 50% of his deal or get a player back that equals that 50% plus pick/prospect….

This type of trade is never going to be a win/win, both players have their warts…

The Kane to Rangers trade finally happened. Two picks in the deal. 2nd and a forth.

    Good chance that 2nd becomes a 2024+ 1st

So the Flower price plus a 4th. Guessing that 4th is going to a 3rd team who takes the other 25%

True, but Rangers are absolutely loaded and have a goalie who can steal rounds all by himself…

I’m glad Chicago didn’t get full value for him, I wonder what goes into the decision on what’s offered when the player has all the power and only wants to go to 1 team? Is there some honor amongst GM’s of not completely ripping them off? I mean, the Rangers could have said we’ll give ya a 4th rounder and then its upto Chicago to either take it or say F off and let Kane waste away the final 2 months and get nothing…

Yeah like Giroux still got a pretty good return last year even though Florida was his only option. The other side is Taylor Hall going for only a 2nd and D level prospect. I think they’re all pretty similar players, Hall the best by a slight margin just based on age at time of trade.

Good Lord at some point they need to learn Johansson is only good for the Capitals.
    Do not like.
    Two thumbs down.

I hope he proves me wrong and we can all laugh at how dumb I am in 3 months.
