This whole sit Addison fiasco has blown up in the staff’s face…they’ll spin it as a success, but Goligoski has been a trainwreck…

Train wreck except it helped them get back to their D game and get back to the way they can win vs trying to be an offensive team.
They have played there best hockey with Addy out. Just sayin.
Not sure how it has blown up in there face when they are 4-1 without him.

We should revisit a few pages ago when they were on a 3 game losing streak.

Goligoski hasn’t been great but outside of that turnover he has been better than I thought he’d be.

It was a heck of a “lougie” too and on Drew Doughty so you can hardly blame him…

It’s been an automatic match penalty for awhile, I think it is in usa hockey rules too. Miller has a good reputation as a pretty classy dude too so surprising to see that from him.

Finally dawned on me that Joe watches goose like the angry hockey hockey mom watching the kid who’s taking her kid’s ice time. He’s the 7th D, and has played about like a 7th D. They sat their 22 yo D who was getting some lazy D zone habits to send a message. They still scored PP goals, won a bunch of games, and he came back energized and motivated. Where’s the train wreck?? Maybe by trainwreck you mean massive W, idk

I am not for this at all, BUT what could we get if we traded KK? Has never crossed my mind but is interesting to think about who/what we would get in return.

Its hard to question any of Tampa bay’s moves over the years because they always seem to work out, but the price they paid for Tanner Jeannot is ridiculous…

Almost feels like Tampa is just trolling the rest of the league at this point. Would love to know how those trade talks went down but I’m picturing David Poile on the phone doing the And Theennnn bit from Dude Where’s My Car and Tampa just kept adding another pick.

I’m for BG just standing pat at this point and see where this team can go. About all that’s left for him to do is Boesser of JVR. I don’t see how they can make Boesser work. But I think BG feels he needs to do something given the winning streak.

This was about as funny as Hartman’s bird to Kane. About the same level of hateable player too.

I was replying to Rip, the stupid “Replying to a Quote bug” kept getting me so I just did a thread reply instead…

I’d rather have the Wild use internal pieces (Walker/Beckman/Rossi) vs overpaying for a scrub like VanReimsdyk…It sounds like Tampa was competing with another team for Jeannot and that’s why the price got so high, if that’s the case, GMBG better get on the phone with that other team and see if they would be interested in Greenway…

The only move i’m expecting now is they look for a veteran defender with size, but GMBG has shown he can make a big surprise move so who knows (I still think they’d go for Brock if Vancouver somehow unlikely retains a ton)

So after they were stumbling out of the All Star Break the Wild are quietly one of the hottest teams in the league now. 2nd place, but the Avs have 3 games in hand. The stars are coming back to Earth a bit lately.

So after all the ups and downs of this season we’re going to end up with Colorado winning the Central and the Wild fighting for the 2/3 seed. How boring and predictable. Winnipeg is finally crashing hard – they’ll miss the playoffs if Calgary’s goalie can ever remember how to stop a puck.

Sure seems to be shaping up that way.

How about the Leafs knowing they will be facing Tampa yet again like 3 months ago…The East’s 3 vs 6 & 4 vs 5 1st round matchups will be epic…

NHL needs to change back to the 1-8 seeding…
