The Atlantic top 3 are really good. Obviously the Bruins are having a historically good season, but Tampa and Toronto against each other in the first round (again) makes for some must see TV.

Crazy how the top 6 teams in the league are from the East and then 7-14 are from the West

The East is really going to beat the crap out of each other in the playoffs.

Typical disclaimer that I’m not saying they should have kept him; but dam I miss watching this guy. Could have at least had the decency to send him to the eastern time zone so his games aren’t at midnight

same, but hopefully watching Ohgren score and Faber being a shutdown defenseman for the next decade will help…hopefully…

Fiala…sigh…I will say they should have kept him but couldn’t. I think the most aggravating aspect of that whole deal is that if there was a way of keeping him without blowing up the team BG still wouldn’t have done it.
A three way personal dislike between Fiala, Evason and BG made anything positive happening out of it impossible regardless of how many points Fiala put up. Kevin had a couple good months so what!-BG I think Matt Dumba is a helluva defenseman-BG coffee

Brodin to IR. Not ideal. Will miss at least 4 games.

Wild get a 2023 5th round pick for being the 25% retention banker in the Washington/Boston trade just now….Wild also gave Boston rights to Andrie Svetlakov who is a bottom 6 forward in the KHL…. We would have never signed him anyways, doubt he ever leaves the KHL…

Judd and boys found a steal in the 5th round last year with David Spacek oh and some Russian kid 8 years ago…

Heckuva start. Only been half a period but Mermis doesn’t look phased at all. Like his play so far.

Columbus is the second worst team in the league behind Anaheim. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves here.

That’s been quite obvious, this has looked like a JV vs Varsity game. Mermis has looked quite comfortable though…

I know a couple have been kind of weird bounces but Fluery is not reading the puck well tonight.

And this team hasn’t dominated anyone lately, especially 5 on 5, so it’s ok to be happy about that period.

Mermis isn’t bad. He was quite good the last time he had some games with the big club. No Brodin for sure but solid.

His play had been getting better every game after GMBG had the come to meet McDavid meeting.
The goal 22 scored was driven by 18s zone entry at speed and the CBJ D-men losing gap control.

They have one of the refs in the stands keeping them in check…..Never seen that before…..Fan wearing a legit NHL ref jersey.
