The Wild has a history of bringing back Minnesota boys but usually after they are declining or are damaged goods in some way. I don’t see Boesser moving the needle that much. Sounds to me like he’s dying to come here so he may be highly motivated at least for awhile. Who knows. Are they going to bring Addison back or are they just done with trying to develop this kid anymore? Sitting him for four games is a bit ridiculous unless he’s on the trade block.

I’m seeing a trend where the Wild have difficulty developing these prospects. I’m sure this current winning streak has BG a little psychotic trying to decide if he should be a buyer or seller. I think two weeks ago he was sliding the scale over to selling or standing pat. Now his team is selling him hope and have him thinking maybe he needs to be a buyer. But the Wild have always been good at selling hope. lol

Can’t believe I’m saying this but, I’m starting to think they should resign Dumba. No one wants him and if they can resign him to half of what he makes now I think he would be tolerable to keep on the squad. He’d be a nice 3rd pair dman once Faber is up and paired with Brodin.

Mermis being called up on emergency circumstances. At first I thought a trade was brewing but Russo squashed that. Who’s hurt? Curious they bring up a guy when Addison is healthy.

Brodin or Middleton would be my guess, both have been taking a beating blocking shots lately…

    Zero chance.

I don’t know. If he takes a big pay cut I could see BG bringing him back. It’s not like he’s going to have the money to sign a center or impact winger.

If the Wild win tonight they are only 3 pts back of Dallas. With all the stumbling they are right in this. Kane went off last night he would be a nice addition, but it could be a pipedream because he probably wouldnt even want to come here.

That was a good loss for Dallas last night. Anyone watch until the end? Another goal right at the end of regulation. Did not stand thank god.

Correction, only 2 pts back of Dallas if they win. Even better.

Haha yeah was some good karma for Chicago after last game. Real time I thought it was a good goal but it wasn’t really that close. What are the odds of that happening in back to back games?!?! crazy

Saw this in The Athletic comments about a Kane trade… rotflol

    Initial phone call from Dean:
Patrick, we are going to have you with one of the league’s premier players. You will be the Robin to his Batman. Someone to compliment his elite skill and hockey IQ. I’m telling you Patrick, with all due respect to Toews and Hossa, you have never played with a guy like Freddy Gaudreau.

The West is so wide open this year that you’re just never out of it…You lose 4 out of 5 games, but everybody else loses 3 out of 5, You win 4 of 5, everybody else wins 3 of 5, etc, etc…

IF you can make it into the playoffs and your goalie gets hot, anything is possible this year….You would just run into a likely juggernaut in the finals…

Nashville will be without Ryan Johanson for the rest of the season now, so you can count them out of it…

The West really is horrible this year. But I still think Colorado gets healthy and turns into that juggernaut come playoffs. They lost just as many playoff games as the Wild last year shock

They are talking that they can’t afford Addy. No way than can afford Dumba.

Yeah but they made it out of the first round LOL You can never count out Colorado now. I still think the Stars are going to come down to Earth, but Oettinger is legit.

I’d be worried about Makar if I were an Avs fan, he’s the straw that stirs the drink for that team as he’s a purple unicorn, can’t be defended…His head is glass chandelier right now, if they don’t protect him by keeping him out, he could turn into another PMBouchard…

Love how Landeskog’s recovery is miraculously lining up with the start of the playoffs…wonder where that idea came from…

Sh!t I’m worried about Makar and I hate the Avs. Concussions really suck. Hope he feels better soon and they’re just being extra cautious with him.

Since Makar hopped into the middle of the playoffs in 2019 The Avs are 15-1 in the first round and outscoring teams 77-29 – Juggernaut
The last 2 seasons they are 8-0 and and score is 41-16 rotflol

Yeah concussions are no joke. I really hope this doesnt become a chronic issue for him, but they usually are. Look at Lindros. Once one of the most up and coming players but his concussions destroyed his career.

I’m probably late in knowing this but I found out this week that Sam Hentges has been struggling with a concussion all season.

    As per Russo:
Brodin foot has him out. Merrill stayed back off trip due to illness. Mermis & Addison in tonight.
    This could get interesting.

That sucks, hope it’s behind him now. I was wondering why he wasn’t playing earlier but he’s been a regular in the lineup for about a month now.

I’d look for Addison to have a good game tonight unless he copped a attitude for being sat for four games. The West is wide open this year because there’s nobody in the conference doing things like the Bruins, Canes, Leafs or Devils. For everything going on with the Wild this year it could be the year they get out of the first round. They are going to have to ride Gus hard the entire time and spot Fluery when they can to get it done. Be interesting to see how Gus would handle that role.

I felt all year Dallas was a bit of a pretender but they lead our division with 72 points. That would put them in fourth place in either division in the east same with Vegas. There’s going to be some monster playoff match ups in the east this year. Going to be fun to watch. Has the NHL released the broadcast schedule yet for the playoffs? Does Mike Modano do anything for the Wild besides draw a check? Haven’t heard his name mentioned in a long time.

Typical disclaimer that I’m not saying they should have kept him; but dam I miss watching this guy. Could have at least had the decency to send him to the eastern time zone so his games aren’t at midnight

The Atlantic top 3 are really good. Obviously the Bruins are having a historically good season, but Tampa and Toronto against each other in the first round (again) makes for some must see TV.
