There’s no shame in losing to Dallas on the road. The Stars are solid and they are leading the central division.

Losing to the lowly Coyotes though? Ya, that shouldn’t happen.

yep, we’re not going to win every game, but I think the worrisome part is the frequency of mistakes that are being made and the bad play by some that isnt getting any better…that type of play isn’t sustainable to be a playoff team…

The team is in a delicate spot right now, where losses could snowball or they get on a winning streak during their 7 game homestand and solidify a playoff spot….

we’ll know by March 3rd where this team is going…

Good luck keeping KK happy. Scorched earth might mean getting rid of everything, even KK. Trade everyone of value, get high 1st round draft picks for the next 7 yrs, free up cap space and dump the whole team cause this ship is sinking lol. That’s a sarcastic frustrated joke. Bound to the middle of the road curse like the vikings. Never good enough, but never bad enough either.

Boldy isn’t as good as people think he is. He’s gunna be our new RS. He should be better is about all that there is. He can’t generate without a Fiala type. He way out kicked his ability playing with him and what we see is what we get. Talented? Yes. A game changer? Ahh, no. Could be? Yes. Gunna be? Probs not. He’s got way to many mental glitches. When he’s thinking it’s really bad. His hockey skill is there when his brain doesn’t have time to think. When he just reacts it’s good. When he pauses to think you can see it plane as day.

17 and 18 are not making any impact at all.

4th line is the funnest line to watch.

Bumbling Boldy looks like he’s got grease on his stick.

Defensively this teams heart is 25.

    Love 46 but d@mnation he’s tiny.

    Steel has gotta go.

    Hartman has gotta sit.

Trade Dumba or force him to shoot way more. He needs a 5 shot on net game quota or he sits.

Try Boldy at 1c, there’s literally zer0 to loose at this point.

Put Walker and Shaw in to inject some life. Put Hartman and Boldy on the fourth line and move those pieces around cause they actually play with a lot more energy.

89 has made a vanishing act and there’s times not sure he’s on the team anymore.

Good Lord lots of hate on Boldy who is only 20. Sheesh pump the brakes a little there turbo. Give him some decent linemates and the results will come. Hes basically carrying that line. We saw last year how dynamic he can be when he had Fiala to work with. Now he is skating with 2 third or forth liners.

Lots of 3rd and 4th liners on this team. To be expected with the cap jail we are still in due to ZP and RS. Still haunting this team.

Need to keep Kirill, Zucc, Boldy, Ek, Brodin, Spurgeon, Gustafsson. Everyone else is expendable.

Yeah this team has been built from the backend forward for years. They are set there, but there needs to be changes to more skilled up front but as we have beat to death that is going to be tough the next few years. Its going to be addition by subtraction with some mainstays likely gone to try and make room for a top 6.

my scorched earth proposal was just meant to open some capspace to hopefully get Boldy somebody with skill to play with next year, Foligno, Greenway and Hartman are about the only players with any value we could likely trade, we can’t say let’s trade Merril and Goligoski…who the F wants those guys?…Boldy is a great young player who’s playing with career 4th liners, he needs another skilled player to get the most out of his talent. Sami Walker could be that guy next year, but he’s still very raw…

He’s popular, but do we honestly think Foligno is going to have a spot on this roster in 3 years? I don’t…The GREEF line is meant to be a shutdown line that gets the greasy goals, they aren’t doing either this year…

There’s zero reason for the Wild to do any type of rebuild, they are actually playing through a minor one right now. The goal GMBG likely has is most of the top prospects are ready to go in 3 years when the cap penalties are done…

Terasenko & Mikkola to the Rangers for a Sami Blais, D Prospect & 2023 1st (worst of the two (Rangers/Dallas) picks Rangers have); 4th round draft pick (4th becomes a 3rd if Rangers make the playoffs, so a 3rd). BLues retaining 1/2 of Vlad’s salary

People need to stop freaking out about Boldy. As said before on this thread hes only 20 years old! I’m just curious to see if the Wild make a trade or not. I highly doubt they deal Foligno but Hartman, Greenway, and Dumba could all be on the move if they actually make a deal but im guess they dont.

Not to mention Boldy has scored a lot since his contract. He’s 20 years old and isn’t going to be a superstar every game. Goudreau has been one of their better players over the last 10 games. I think they need to get Reaves out and Shaw in. And take out Greenway for Walker because Reaves and Greenway are just wasting spots right now.

Foligno might be the biggest disappointment for me. I’m not expecting him to repeat his career year from last season every year, but my god. He’s just brutal this year.

Interesting that Tarasenko was traded to the Rangers.

Next year is going to be alot of the same as we don’t have the capspace to make meaningful changes…Sometimes its hard to accept, but this team just isn’t good enough…When you have $13-$15 million in dead money on your cap there’s going to be roster pain and we’re feeling it right now and will continue to feel it next year as well…GMBG and the Team can say all of the right things, but deep down they’ve known these struggles were coming…

I think last season gave fans the illusion that the buyout wasn’t going to be all that bad. The Wild were able to defy gravity for a really fun season last year, now they’re back to earth. Fiala is gone, Hartman, Foligno, and others are not anywhere near last year’s productivity, and Rossi didn’t turn out to be NHL-ready.

The fan frustration is different this year, you can say yeah we had some losing streaks last year, but this team isn’t playing anywhere near last year’s level even when they are playing well. This year it is plain for everyone to see that even when the Wild are playing well, we can’t come even close to matching the pace of a top team except for a single win here or an OT/SO win there.

It’s unfortunate, but I’ll come out and say it. This team isn’t even a playoff team, much less capable of winning an R1 series. I think we’re going to finish 5th in the Central, it’s hard to see us staying ahead of Nashville for much longer and we certainly aren’t going to climb past Colorado.

There are no trades that are going to save the Wild. In case it was somehow missed, Dumba has been shopped to death all season with no takers and even if there were to be a deadline deal, we aren’t going to get anything in return in picks or prospects. I can’t see Dumba even netting us a 3rd round pick at this point. I don’t see any point in van Reimsdyk unless there’s a strong indication we could resign him and I’d have to wonder about this.

Would have liked Tarasenko on the Wild but I can see not wanting to give up a 1st for him. Would rather have Tank than Patrick Kane this year.

Isnt he having a really bad season? No, someone on the Blues I would love to have is O’Reilly.

Who is going on waivers to bring Walker up?

GMBG did a podcast with Russo yesterday, he said prices are still really high around the league, he’ll buy or sell at the deadline based on how February goes…

Hinted they might try to bring Yurov over to Iowa vs having him sign a short extension with the KHL (said he’s really not a fan of dealing with Russia – Ha!)

Hope they can get Yurov out of Russia this summer – dude’s been getting jerked around for 3 years now!

Can’t really complain about how the KHL is working out for Khusnutdinov though. He’s getting a lot better experience than they could offer him in the AHL. That will work out great as long as they can get him over here after next season.

I would think any GM would like any prospect out of Russia ASAP and worry about the development and contract stuff after. Way to many unknowns especially now.

Steel. What’s the difference really? Steel can’t even keep the puck on his stick anymore. He’s a freaking zero out there right now. 1 g 1 a in his last ten games. Walker looked good with Boldy even though it didn’t show it on the scoresheet. Let someone claim Steel. It’ll let one of the young guys Reaves is blocking play.

Going to be interesting to see where KK spends his time after this season. I’d be surprised he goes back to Russia given what happened last year getting back here. Still a lot of unanswered questions there. But then again maybe after this season he will want to go back to Mother Russia and just stay there!

If he goes back to Russia he’ll be spending his offseason in Ukraine.

    Boldy is 21 but….
Anyone know what Fiala’s stats were in his 20 year old season.
    16 points in 54 Games.
    21 year old season: 23+25 48pts in 80 Games.

He was then traded for Grandlund half way through his 22 year old season.

    22 year old season: a whopping 13+25 38 pts in 80 games.

Then played two shortend weird Covid seasons at 23 and 24.
    Showed some skill however.

We all know what he did at 25 and continuing to do at 26.

And now. Dumbest move BG ever made according to some.

So yeah I think we can relax on the Boldy train.

BG basically tried to do a similar thing with Fiala and sign him long term lower AAV during flat cap years and he wasn’t having that.

When is Foligno’s turn to sit in the pressbox? Seriously

That goal output last year has gone to his head, he’s forgot about the type of play that got him to the NHL…
