Bingo, Vancouver would want no part of that trade.
Do the wild have interest in Schenn? Sure so does every playoff team probably.
Greenway for Boesser is even more laughable. We may have to trade Greenway to get capspace they are not taking on a bigger contract of Boesser.

That’s the whole thing with trades in the NHL vs the IDO forum. They actually have to consider contracts. jester

There’s a whole film reel you could make of Dumba doing worse things than losing that puck in his skates against the Caps. Besides we still won the game. Something else is afoot or at least I hope so because otherwise this is just a silly move by Evason or BG whoever made the call. I was pushing for Chycrun last year and I think he would be great on this Wild team. Talk about a guy who would benefit from a change of scenery it would have to be him.

And how are you going to fit his 4.6 million contract in the lineup the next two years.
They have 9 million to spend next year and have Gus, Duhaime, Addison, Shaw, Steel, Freddy all needing contracts. Or there replacements anyway.

    Not happening sorry.

I don’t really understand trading Dumba at this point. After his awful stretch at the beginning of the season I think this has probably been one of his more consistent seasons in awhile. I’m probably harder on Dumba than most here, but I don’t understand trading him midseason because I don’t see a scenario that brings someone back that helps the team THIS YEAR.

Now he has one bad game and they sit him? I honestly can’t believe I’m defending him but it’s just weird. Seems like BG and Deano are making some interesting player decisions lately. Sitting Shaw really irks me too. They haven’t played with any intensity since they’ve sat him. BG and Deano get a little too wrapped up in the “presence that Reaves brings” and overlook how it’s not helping the team as much as they think it is.

Also not buying that a change in scenery is enough to help Boesser.

Dumba is a veteran right shot defenseman with some puck moving ability, those traits are highly desirable for the playoffs even for somebody as mistake prone as he is… he’s also on an expiring contract…

    That’s why there’s trade gossip

Sorry was just putting your fantasy hockey team in perspective. Didn’t mean for you to get butt hurt.

For those hoping the wild are adding this or that they are not adding future contracts sorry. Especially not ones larger than the player you want sent out.

    Greenway 3 year $3m in year 1
Dumba last year at $6m in last year
    Boesser $6.5m has 2 left
Schenn is last year at $850k

Dont forget Vancouver is trying to lose so getting worse this year wont bother them, ha!

if I had a fantasy hockey team i certainly would shoot higher than Brock Boesser and Luke Schenn.

Yeah I understand that obviously, but nobody has offered them anything for him the past three years. It’s not gonna change this year. I suppose they aren’t planning on being a real cup contender so get whatever you can for him I guess.

I think it’d be better to have him for the playoffs than whatever they bring in.

So that would leave you 5.5 to sign Addy Steel Duhaime Gus Shaw and Freddy.
Or replacements. 5.5 for six spots. You do the math. waytogo

Russo was just on the fan. Said scratch is directly related to play against Washington. Asked BG if he thinks it hurts his trade value and he said he has had zero calls on Dumba so I doubt it hurts anything.
If anything maybe it will spur some interest.

So now that they are apparently holding players accountable, when does Hartman sit? His turnover directly led to a Caps goal…

I get your point but also can’t just go through the lineup and sit guys do to a mistake.
I mean hell they won the game we act like they are on some 6 game losing streak.

That’s interesting because Russo’s story the other day about Dumba said they were getting calls.

Canes will be a big test tonight. Hopefully it’s a really good game.

These slow starts are very concerning. I also recall Russo talking about calls on Dumba. My Lord Spurgeon is just so underrated.

That is exactly why I wish they’d get Shaw back on the fourth line. It’s been every game since he’s been out that they have no energy. No one will fight Reaves and it’s not like he’s laying people out on the ice either.

3rd penalty kill of the first period and Hartmann got a 10 minute misconduct on top of it?

Joe you might get your wish on Hartman getting benched after another ridiculous penalty.

he’s getting penalties because his game on the ice is brutal… Hartman’s game straddles the line of playing dirty and cheap and he’ll get his penalties because if it, but you put up with it when he’s scoring and drawing penalties (like last year) but when he’s not providing anything positive its just a waste of icetime and we have to kill penalties….

Oh but he had a talk with Deano awhile ago to knock it off…. Looks like that worked…

Hartman is a poor man’s version of Marchand…very poor right now..

The canes have a lot to do with the slow start. They are basically exactly how the wild have to play this year to be successful.

Omg Greenway how did he miss that. Anderson’s 5 hole was wide open.

They should include partial ownership in KK’s next contract. I could care less who they may lose out on in order to sign him.

How did it end up in the corner? I couldn’t figure that out and they never commented on it.

Hartman knocked it out, cant make it up… and of course Freddy can do no wrong with a stupid high stick that leads to a PP goal…

That we as not a goal. He clearly hit Fleury and his stick not allowing him to make a blocker save.

Between too many men and goal tender interference Deano is going to lose his mind.
