Lol a backdoor open net? Stonehands could score that one

You asked for another example of Kaprizov getting set up from the bumper, pretty sure I delivered. What more do you want from me Joe!?!?!

In all seriousness, Rask/Bonino with that PP1 group really is a total joke… like it’s an idea that we’d all laugh at coming into this season. I made a joking comment about it a couple weeks ago when they started scoring. But my point in all this is how the heck can you argue against their success and want to change that? Kaprizov has been at the bumper during this heater. Obviously it’s working, why the heck would you change it?? Wait until they all start breathing again and come back to reality, then you can change it up. But for now, lets just let the Rask magic happen.

I’ve always said he’s the best 3rd line center in the league, put the puck in the crease and he’s dangerous but any farther than that and he might as well dump it in the corner.

His early season outburst got alot of people excited, but he’s come back to the Ek he’s always been in the last 20 or so games…

Number one on the team in even strength goals. 11th in the league. Ahead of folks like Crosby McKinnon. Put him on the PP1 and watch him sore. rotflol

Is there any question that he’s the best center on the team?

I reached out to Sotastick company to see if they are considering releasing that shirt. I think it would sell well. They only made a limited number for the team. Its hilarious!

True, but Foligno has been out about that many games too. Get that line back in tact now and watch the production increase. I mean, they were by far the most dominant line yesterday spending nearly their entire shift in the offensive zone.

Unequivocally the best center. Needs to be better on draws, but otherwise he is very good.

Fiala has to make the coach’s skin crawl. A ton of talent but his turnovers, where they happen and when have to drive a coach nuts.

He’s trying to do too much to make up for who he’s playing with, Mojo has disappeared again for another 8-10 games before he’ll play a few games well and get everyone’s hopes up and Hartman is back to the same player he’s been the past few years vs the player he was the first 30+ games this season.
Fiala’s contract negotiations are going to be interesting as you know his agent will argue he’s playing with mediocre players and it affected his point output thus he deserves more $$ vs his comparables…
My guess is GMBG signs him to a 2 year deal which gets him to UFA and then in 2 years decide if Boldy/Rossi are more important to sign long term.

I think Parise has gotten the message. Finally. That was a bit of a soft goal but he has been all over the place for the last week or two.

it’s a really good sign as we’re stuck with him for 4 more seasons, he’ll never get traded.

Foligno needs to have a talk to Burns, he’s taking every chance to put a shot on Kaprizov…

Boldy has 6 points in his first 5 games in Iowa but who do you pull out of this lineup right now to call him up? I think the answer is nobody…

Somebody has to teach Parise how to stop. On that wrap around he just about killed himself going into the boards. You have to give him credit he is giving more effort but he still wastes alot of energy skating around in circles.

Not going to change player like that. High skill but higher motor. What made Zach Zach.

The D man gave him a little bump and it sent him into the boards.

As far as Burns goes, every game they’ve played against the Sharks you can tell Burns is going after KK every chance he gets trying to get in his head. To KK’s credit it doesn’t look like it bothers him one bit.

That’s why Foligno needs to step in, Burns has been after him every game, I’ve never really seen Burns do cheapshots on the ice before but he has a vendetta against Kaprizov for some reason…

Serious question… Foligno should step in and do what? Burns doesn’t fight. Same thing came up with Doughty and Kaprizov earlier in the season. No one but the refs or DOPS can really do anything. Apparently KK97 hasn’t earned star protection yet.

If he keeps this up then he’ll play for the big Wild for sure this season. No idea who comes out or what they have to do with cap space, but they’ll make room. Guerin had a quote basically saying “Matt Boldy will decide when he plays in Minnesota”.

If Foligno challenges them (pin them against the boards and get in their face) they arent going to back down, they are too proud (they would most likely just wrap up and tackle to the ice with zero punches thrown). They then sit in the box for 5 minutes…

    BUT

It sends the message that cheap crap on Kaprizov wont be tolerated and will be answered with force (or expect cheap shots on Kopitar or Karlson/Coulture)

Sofar this season that hasn’t happened and we’ve seen them take liberties with Kaprizov every game…

I think if Foligno started targeting Burns or Doughty on the boards and rough them up a little (without getting a penalty) to let them know it’s not ok, they would back down. If not, then you rearrange their faces, which in both of their cases, would be an improvement.

It is really annoying, and it’s something that has driven me nuts about the Wild over the years. They let teams take cheap shots on them and do nothing about it. Foligno being back should cut down on that though.

By the way apparently Kahkonen’s glove doesn’t work after sitting a few games.

So it appears that this team is pretty firmly entrenched in the 3 hole of the division. How do the playoffs work with this? I assume its 1 vs 4 and 2 vs 3 with the higher seed having home ice and the winners playing each other? How is that going to work when we get further along and the Canadian teams have to start playing the American teams? Another playoff pod location like last year?
