We desperately miss Foligno in the lineup. He will hopefully return soon, but having him out there makes a huge difference.
I am a fan of Luke Johnson. He isnt the most skilled player by any stretch but has some grit and gets around the ice fairly well and wins draws.

IDK, I thought tough guy enforcer Nick Bjugstad really sent a message to Colorado last night whistling

I will say “great job stepping up Nick” love to see it but he got whooped!

I like Carter in the booth. I think a lot of players are willing to talk to him for a story or two as well when the prep because he was one of them.
    His haircut is great.
Real good guy in person as well.

Wild getting connected to Taylor Hall this afternoon. Don’t think I like that very much. Hopefully it’s just going through the motions of doing their homework.

On KFAN today they were saying he might be going to the Avs.

Ish. Please no. He could definitely fit on the Aves or Isles, but I doubt Lou wants him.

What the hell would Hall give us vs what it would cost us to get him? I dont get that rumor at all, we already have an abundance of good left handed wings and nobody to center them…that better be a smokescreen leak by Buffalo to drive the cost up…

That’s what I thought as well. If it isn’t a center there isn’t much point in moving assets for it.

    A Hart trophy winner?

Sounds like Bjugstad might be out after getting thumped last night.

you want to give up at least a 1st round pick + a likely prospect to have Hall play wing with Kaprizov or Fiala for a month? Then he’s a FA and demands $9+ per year when you likely need to spend that on Kaprizov alone with Fiala and Ek also needing ling term contracts?

And you still have nobody to center them all?

    Darren Dreger just tweeted:

Good news regarding @mnwild prospect Marco Rossi. Recent tests indicate he’s getting close to being able to resume light training again. All involved expect he will be ready for camp. Still working with specialists in Austria and Minnesota in the quest for full recovery.

    Uggg, Gigi is terrible…

Gigi is kinda like Wes Walz and doesnt talk with much emotion.

Carter has been surprisingly really good.

    Who is Gigi?

Great news about Rossi. Hopefully he will be working out soon and can get back into shape. I am sure he has lost a lot of weight.

but she gets the deer in the headlight look.

That is exactly what I thought too. Looks like she’s in the twilight zone.

At least with the poor video feed we don’t have to listen to or see her or Walz all the time. I know it’s new and will take some getting used to but their feed needs work (black screen, pixelating…)and the crawl on the bottom is in the way of the ice in my opinion but those are pretty minor I guess in terms of actually being able to watch hockey now.

I agree and I’ve read alot of the same feedback, we’ll see if they make a change…

BallySports has been getting blasted on social media for this. There is no reason to have that on the bottom in hockey when all the dead space is on the top. They must have never tried it out prior to launching because that is terrible.

I missed this earlier, but that would be a real head scratcher for me. I dont understand why the Wild would even consider him unless they were going to do it to unload Parise but I dont see that happening. He’s a hard pass for me.

BG quote from “The Chirp with Darren Millard” podcast on how aggressive he plans to be at the trade deadline. I hope he means it.

“Approaching the deadline, I’m not going to sell the farm just for a rental that’s going to blow town in a couple of months. We still want to build, we still want to accumulate prospects and draft picks and things like that, because we’re kind of building on the go. But when I say that we are all-in, yeah, we’re all-in because we want to win, and we expect to win every night and we expect our players to do the same.”

My guess is that he deals 2 out of 3 (Cole, Johansson or Bonino) but it will need to take good offers, he wont get rid of them for 5th, 6th, 7th rounders….

My guess is that he doesnt make a trade at all. Apparently there has been contract talks with Cole and when he traded for Bonino he said I need you Bonino on the team. I’ll be shocked if they do make a trade.

I think out of everyone on the team Bonino has been the biggest disappointment. I wasn’t expecting a lot but he is pretty much invisible out there.

Johansson has done enough lately to possibly get some value back in a trade. But then you have Fiala playing all alone again….I’d be fine with no moves honestly.

GMBG knows we dont have the firepower “yet” to compete long term in the playoffs…teams will focus & hammer on Kaprizov in the playoffs and scoring will then fall on Rask getting Fiala the puck…good luck with that! He needs to always have the next 1-3 years in his decision making.

What helps us is that we now have a top shutdown line with Foligno-Ek-Greenway, but we’re still on the short end of having enough scoring but we are ABSOLUTELY on the right track for starting next season!

Apparently I can’t quote other responses and can only write so this might be hard to follow.

No I don’t want them trade for Hall.
I was just answering the question of what they would have. lol

I don’t expect them to move 2 of those three guys like you expect Joe.
I don’t think you will get more than a 5th 6th or 7th round for the guys you mentioned. There are only 5-6 buyers in general.
If they don’t have a hockey trade evolving I expect them to stand pat.

Bonino has been fine as 4th line center who kills penalties. They have a very good PK. Not sure what others would expect from him.

Hopefully you can decipher what post I’m referring to.😂
