Interested in hearing about experiences with mounting rod holders and downrigger brackets using either Sport Trak accessories or after market options. Thanks in advance.

On my 2020 ProGuide I have used the SportTrak for rod holders (Lund mount) and a LiveScope pole mount (Cisco mount). No problems.

I grappled with this for a while and here’s what I came up with. For rod holders, I went with the Extreme aftermarket mounts for Scotty and Cabelas Quick draw rod holders. They are sturdy enough for trolling boards and using dipsey divers on Lake MI.
Choosing a downrigger mounting system is a bit more challenging, since there are several factors to consider, but mainly which downriggers will you use, and ease of mounting and removing. I ended up buying a pair of the Cisco mounts shown which work well for my short-arm Big Jons with an 8-lb. ball. I wouldn’t recommend this for long-arm downriggers or heavier lead. I will add that the Cisco base dimensions will not accommodate a standard 4 x 4 Big Jon coupling plate or swivel plate, but I’m fortunate to have a good friend who is a skilled tool-maker. We brainstormed a coupler/swivel design and after a couple sample prototypes, we settled on a solution. If you don’t want the swivel option, a fixed plate attachment to fit the Cisco will result in the same set-up shown, but you’d need to attach the downrigger/Cisco after launching.
