Yikes, guess they wanted to compete with the hideous Jeep truck crossover that looks like it doesn’t do Jeep or Truck things very well!

They all need to follow Toyota’s take on it. They make enough of there line to have great mpg to allow the Tundra to have some of the worst mpg in the class.

I am surprised at how popular the Jeep Gladiator has been. You see them all over the place. I will say two things about it.
1) One of the reasons it looks bad is because they went with a longer bed, which I am glad about. Must of these new trucks have such small beds that they are useless for hauling more than a few bags of mulch.
2) Back to the bed again, I like the lower sides on them which are what our Fords and Chevys and Dodges used to have before the truck got lifted and the beds got deeper on top of it. Increase volume is nice, but it’s a PITA that you can no longer just reach over the side to mess with stuff in the bed.
So I have mixed feelings about the Gladiator.
There are 3 vehicles on Maui people “have to have” 1. is a Toyota Tacoma, 2. is a Wrangler and 3. has quickly became the Gladiator. Pretty good beach vehicle for sure.
