2020 wild rice

    Got out today to check on the rice at a few spots I have found. Rice looked good and had full heads. The heads were about 50/50 purple and green. The seed pods were there but seemed empty. I don’t know how long it takes for them to develop into seeds but with season opening next weekend I’m wondering what anybody else has seen or knows.

    It sure seems abnormally thick this year. Everywhere around the GR area seems jam packed this year.

    . I’ve been reading that it loves a dry year. Some spots I’ve found I swear it’s over my head.
