I have purchased one every year since the program started. Some day I will enjoy looking back thru them.

For the past 5-8 years I’ve saved each license and that year’s regulation book that I get. That may not sound that exciting to a lot of people, but I’m a history and sports nut; compare that to pulling a random Twins 1995 game program, and I just like the nostalgia of it. I love looking at old cranks (haha) and other fishing stuff through the years too.

Me too, I have everyone back to when they began.

Took a quick look in my stack of stamps and the oldest one I found was 2015. Maybe I have them all or I missed a year, can’t say I’m 100% sure.

Also got my 2020 stamps in the mail today.

    when did they start?

My best recollection was the later 2000’s. I would go looking around the house for them, but they’re scattered in different drawers. I’ll gather them all back one day and start my stamp book. wink

My research is looking like 2009. I know for sure I have bought them all since the get go.

    WOW!!!!!!!!!

Would you believe that just the other day, at the Walleye Advisory Committee meetings, Dick Sternberg offered this idea to the committee, and everyone except one person on that committee was in favor of the idea? That person was none other than the states own fisheries chief, Ron Payer!! His explanation, we don’t need it. We don’t want it. We are right on target with our entire stocking. All our lakes are stocked just fine.

    EPG,
    What was Dick’s idea?

To offer up a walleye stamp.
