They usually post the next years seasons on the DNR website. I Googled it but couldn’t find it. I need to get my vacation in for the 2020 deer season. I’m assuming it would be the 7th?

I just looked at their website too and I’m not seeing anything. You could shoot them an email just to double check, but I would guess firearm deer opener would be the 7th.

They used to but now it’s impossible to find or it’s gone. I email them yearly. Help me bug them and maybe they’ll start posting future dates again.

They use to have it right in the current reg book.

I believe the latest it could be is Nov 9 (this year) and the earliest it can be is Nov 3 (last year) so you could just go from there on what next year’s opener date is.

I generally count back from Thanksgiving. The 16 day zone 1 firearms season would close the Sunday before Thanksgiving.

I knew they had system of setting the date but now I know…

2020 Firearms Deer – November 7th (Always the Saturday closest to the sixth, which is tied to the peak of the rut)
