Hi everyone. Thanks for any input.
    I recently purchased a new 2075 Pro-V with a Merc 250 Pro XS.
Trying to figure out if anyone has played around with different props
on this boat. I want to get the best performance out of it.
I don’t have access to many props to try out.
I was hoping someone has done this. Thank you. J

Congrats on the boat! Wow, those are a beast. It should really rip with that 250. I would say your dealer should give you some props to test until you find the one you like. Maybe edit your profile to show where you are from to get a more specific answer.

    Welcome to In-Depth. applause

Sweet boat! If it came in full vinyl floor it would be a serious contender for my next boat.

I spent a little time propping one of these last summer so I can probably get you pretty close. It has the V8 ProXS right, it’s not a carry over opti is it? just confirming gear ratio. Do you have the boat yet? If you do what hole is the engine mounted in?

It’s the new Mercury 250 Pro-XS four stroke. Picking up the boat tomorrow and hopefully trying out a few different props. I’m running an Atlas jack plate on it.

This would be my next boat if I could confirm whether or not you could put a kicker on it for occassional trolling use. Let us know what prop you end up with.

I thought complete vinyl was an option in this boat.

    Thanks,

We settled on a 19 Tempest as a good all around prop with no jackplate. It was a good stable ride anyone could drive at 57MPH and right at 6000 RPM’s. We ran the 21 Tempest and it was too much pitch. If I remember correct the 19 Enertia ran about the same speed as the 19 tempest, but with a few more RPM’s and felt like a little less lift. On the same boat I ran a 21 and a 22 Bravo LT with a 250 Pro Verado. It was running real good(low 60’s just touching the limiter or real close to it), but it was getting bit light on the pad! The Bravos like running high engine heights as well so even better with your application. If you’re used to running a boat that you actually have to drive I would take a close look at those Bravo’s. Hopefully the dealer has some to play around with. I would start with a 21 or 22 and wouldn’t be surprised if you can spin a 23. If you’re limited to Enertias and Tempests(more common to have in stock) you will be looking at a 21. I’d love to hear what you end up with in the end. Running some setback and getting that engine up this boat should be pretty quick. I always thought with a jackplate, and a bit of time dialing it in, this boat should run in the low to mid 60’s depending on the seating layout( bench models run a bit faster). Those would be pretty impressive numbers for an aluminum boat of this size.

As far as vinyl floors go you can get a vinyl cockpit, but not the entire boat. I will never have carpet in a boat again if I can avoid it.

Got a little run and test time over the weekend. I was able to run a bravo, raker, tempest and fury prop this past weekend.
For me and my application. Boat set up with a 6 in hydraulic jack plate. The Tempest 21 out performed the other props I tried. I was able to run my boat at 62 with 3 people in it. It performed well.
Ran in on lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. Water temp was 82 degrees. Outside temp was 84. A little chop on the water.
