Is there going to be any kind of group chat? Might be nice if there are trade opportunities instead of posting on here?
No idea on a chat. Looks like I’ve got the 12th pick. If Cousins is gone I have no idea what I’ll do!
September 2, 2019 at 7:57 pm #1876934Not gonna make it home in time. Looks like it’s auto picks for me. We will see how this goes:???:
September 5, 2019 at 9:40 am #1877416Draft was fun…and moved fast which is especially nice! Picking in the middle of a serpentine draft is cruddy, but I think I put a good team togther. Go Esox!
My crankbait will go out in the mail this weekend.
September 5, 2019 at 7:15 pm #1877533My team is going to need a small miracle to be second to last.
I will also be sending my crank baits out. Did we decide how manySeptember 6, 2019 at 12:37 pm #1877720Well the “auto-draft” thing was pretty much a trainwreck it looks like
The only consolation is that the Cowboys got Zeke signed. How did I not get even 1 decent receiver out of the 6 it drafted for me
Oh well, my bad for not doing some pre-draft intel, looks like I’ll be fighting Bearcat for the bottom spot this year.September 6, 2019 at 1:12 pm #1877730Had a question earlier about how much stuff to send. This was my response:
Just your favorite bait. Historically some guys have sent more than one, but don’t spend over $10. This is just for fun. I remember the time I won it and I had a couple 99 cent bin ones people had sent. Now if it was really their favorite, no problem, but think they missed the spirit of the game.
JH
I didn’t do autodraft and I got too many WRs, so I’ll send you a trade proposal!
September 6, 2019 at 1:30 pm #1877738I also wasnt availible for the draft. Auto draft did the dirt dog on me. My team looks terrible. Let’s go Jacksonville defense lol.
September 6, 2019 at 2:33 pm #1877760I was there for every pick of my draft and NFL.com graded me as a C and I’m predicted for 3 wins. So who knows haha it’s such a crapshoot.

Auto draft gave me 6 WR’s (best of the group is Connor Krupp whose coming off a torn ACL, LOL) and only 3 running backs. And one of them was Zeke, who was not with the team/signed at the time.
Thanks Jerry Jones for “showin him the money”NO worries, its all in good fun. I will get a crank off to you JH in the mail early next week.
September 15, 2019 at 10:04 pm #1879262Is it winner takes all on the cranks even with more teams now or how have you guys handled it in the past?
I’ll get mine out this week.
September 16, 2019 at 9:21 am #1879308It’s been winner-take-all in the past, but I’ll break it up into a 1st, 2nd place if the group wants. 14 teams is a large group…
September 30, 2019 at 7:28 pm #1881776How are everyone’s squads looking? Bucky’s Crew has had some ups and downs already. I’m not a huge fantasy mind and have only done PPR formats before. A RB who gets over a dozen carries each week is so valuable in a 14 team league with this scoring. I definitely should’ve grabbed a couple more early on.
October 1, 2019 at 8:00 am #1881827I can’t through a week where 1-2 players from the opposing team scores 3 TD’s and just kills me…i’m just hoping to get through the first 1/2 of the season .500 and then make a run at the end…I have ALOT of work to do….
October 1, 2019 at 8:46 am #1881843This is my first experience with a 14-team league and it’s definitely a whole different game. Seems like all starting/viable options at almost all positions after taken in the draft and you basically need an injury for a player to matter on the waiver wire. Two nights after our 14-team draft I did a 10-team draft with some friends and wow it’s unbelievable how stacked your team feels after that.
I still need to send me crankbait in but, like every year, rest assured that it will be. Between working 12-hour days, nights, weekends, going to school part-time, and raising an energetic 15-month old, I don’t have the time for much of anything. But it will be sent in.
Anyone have feedback, especially for those who have played in other apps or formats, on the NFL.com/NFL fantasy app experience? I think it’s garbage. When I started playing fantasy football just a few years ago the guys I played with used NFL.com so it’s been a convenience just in that I know what I’m getting into. Having said that I’m 100% ready to move to something else. I honestly don’t mind the NFL.com website setup but the fantasy app is just awful. Seems like a prototype made by some high school IT class. It was honestly better a few years ago. Just looking for suggestions for next year. I know the big hitters are Yahoo and ESPN. If anyone has opinions or recommendations let me know.
October 1, 2019 at 9:18 am #1881854yes, the NFL Fantasy app is absolutely terrible…CBS Sportsline & ESPN apps are much better…
October 1, 2019 at 9:20 am #1881858Well i can say that at 2-2 I’m ecstatic. This is my first time doing fantasy so nothing to compare it to but are most leagues smaller than this? There sure isn’t much to sort thru on waivers to fill a bye week spot. There’s one week where about half my team is on bye, gonna be an ugly one!!!
Since I just had a total knee replacement last week I’ve had a lot of time to look over the other teams rosters and auto draft is not the way to go. I’ll definitely make the time next year to do the draft.
It is fun tho in that I find myself checking out games that I normally could give a rip about just because I’ve got a guy playing in it. Injuries sure can wreak havoc tho. Oh well, on to week 5!

Typical leagues are 10 teams, yes you really scrape the bottom of the barrel each week to find injury replacements…
October 2, 2019 at 7:39 am #1882151my lures should arrive today.
i’m okay with the NFL Fantasy app. took a little time to get used to it, but it works for checking news and scores. i use the website on my computer for bigger stuff like roster moves and lineup changes. (of course, work has blocked that as a “gambling site” lol) i’ve used ESPN and that’s very good if you’re shopping for alternatives down the road.
i’m pretty pleased with the Esox results so far. a non-PPR league like this is less predictable since it’s so much more dependent on touchdowns. start/sit choices get easier as the year moves along and you get a better feel for players and teams. this format definitely makes getting a handful of good RBs the premium!
October 2, 2019 at 1:10 pm #1882276ESPN app is a little more user-friendly in my limited fantasy experience, but I’m fine with this one too.
Finding a worthwhile addition on the waiver wire is like finding a needle in a haystack that may or may not have been lost there in the first place. I’ve done 14 team leagues before, but there were all PPR making some #3 receivers considerably more valuable than the waiver guys we have now predicted at 3 or 4 points on average. I like the challenge though.

October 2, 2019 at 6:34 pm #1882365I’m not in your league but I’m following this thread to see how its going. There is no doubt that most of what happens on a weekly basis is out of your control. Having a healthy lineup every week is what seems to make the most difference between winning or losing. I feel bad for whoever drafted Barkley. I’m sure he went #1 overall.

That was me…. However promising to see him running in practice and doing some cuts yesterday!
October 6, 2019 at 2:57 pm #1883063Who is running the team “Bearcats”? It appears they’re no longer checking it or putting in a starting lineup in Week 5 of 17.
