Heck yeah it took a little while to figure them out and 2 launches of the boat as well. Started on the west. Weather and wind turned on us by 8 or 9 am. Went and had breakfast , re launched near agate bay and found the hot spots.

Did some pre-fishing for the Take A Vet Fishing day next weekend on P4. Bagged this pig with a Shadow Rap casting to rip rap.

She put on a nice arial display more than once.

Great morning on my favorite East Metro Bass lake. Most of them, including this fish, came on top waters.

I was on the water just before 4AM. I like watching the world wake up, hear the birds start singing and Deer come down to the shore for a drink, all that. Oh yea and the Bass are tearing around in the shallows too grin

I’m using a 10 second delayed timer and the flash, which makes the background look even darker.

Finally found a decent frog bite this morning and my first fish was the best. Destroyed my frog.

Also got on a good frog bite yesterday afternoon. They were crushing it, sometimes coming all the way out of the water when they’d hit! Here’s the two best of the day, 21” and 20”

Is everyone catching two at a time or throwing them in the livewell for a glory photo later in the day?

Early morning explosion next to the boat. This was great fish but i think she took 6 months off my life expectancy. Right at 21 inches.

While I’m not one that did this, I don’t have a problem with it if you have a livewell that has an aerator or recirculates water. I fish 8 hour tournaments and sometimes have bass in there almost that whole time and they get released after weigh in and are just as lively as I put them in there.

I understand the concern and I don’t typically keep them in the livewell for pics, but I’m not going to hate on someone that does with the right gear to keep them healthy.

1 at a time for this guy. No live well transportation in warm water for my boat. Seen others do it on the lake to find big fish floating after wards.

I’ve always wondered about this myself. At first, I thought people were harvesting them (which kinda made my blood boil because people keeping tanker bass doesn’t agree with me). So then I thought, well maybe they’re catching a really nice double with a friend in the boat and taking photos of both. So THEN I finally realized that people were storing them in the livewell so they could take a photo of both later on and I wondered if that was even legal because the regs say that any fish not intended to be harvested must be immediately released (unless you are in a tournament, of course). So I don’t really know what’s going on here with all these double fish photos.

I mean, isn’t the law against culling on certain waters essentially due to mortality concerns? Even if it’s not explicitly against the law, this seems to be a dubious practice IMO. Just one guy’s opinion.
