Bass must be fun to catch on a flyrod.

Heck yeah that’s awesome. Looks like your fishing the shore line and under docks still?
Ours came from 16 to 19 ft of water on deep cranks yesterday

Actually very little activity for me under the docks yet… should be soon. Most fish we caught on the Neko were on the outside weed edge between 9-14 feet of water.

Had a crazy fight with a nice metro smallie on 3 lb test after it hit a crappie tube! Took me through a reed bed, my trolling motor and all around my boat.

Found this big girl in about a foot of water. I saw a bunch of minnows panic out of the water so I threw my topwater bug up there. The bug just slowly disappeared with a tiny little dimple on the surface, like a Trout taking a Mayfly. Then i set the hook and some 4th of July fireworks went off.

I’m waiting for them to finish work on a part of the preserve near me that has a pond. Haven’t fished for bass in a long time.

Good frog bite last weekend in southern MN. Lots of action and this was biggest of the day

Biggun, walking frog, popping frog or prop bait (Toadrunner)..? I’ve not really gone to the frog much yet. Nice fish!

Walking frog, with the high water parts of the lake are accessible that usually aren’t in normal years.

I’m not much of a bass fisherman (or fisherman in general) but I’ve caught a couple decent ones lately

Two and a half decades go by without wetting a line and now she’s asking to go again. Tonight she catches an almost 21 inch 5+ pounder and asks “That’s pretty good isn’t it?!?”

The river bite is on! Forget the lakes and head to the river. They’re smashing topwaters too.

Had a great weekend. Had a tournament up in Mora on Sunday so my partner and I decided to stay Saturday night in Hinckley and hit Mille Lacs on Saturday. Caught a handful of fish over four lbs in a little under 3 hours. Also got my buddy on his PB smallie. 4’11 lbs.

Sunday we hit Knife Lake for our tournament and just missed the $$ finishing 4th with 14.56 lbs and I missed out on big bass by .06 lbs with a 4.59 lber. Great weekend.

How’s the bassing on Knife? All I see on Facebook from my family is dumb walleye. I think even my nephew doesn’t bass as much anymore. That lake was primed with numbers and quality of big bass about 25 years ago.

It’s not too bad. Not the type of lake I’m used to fishing as it’s only about 12 ft deep at it’s deepest. I do love to pitch to docks and structure though and that’s where we caught the majority. Biggest bass of the day for the 24 boat tourney was 5.05 lbs with a few right around 4 and a half like the one I got. I had a couple people tell me there are some large bass in there though.

PS be careful on the launch. Took out a few peoples’ spare tire on Sunday. Good think my Nitro is a small one or I would’ve probably had the same problem.
