I’m looking at adding trim tabs to my 2018 2060. I am getting some porpoising issues due to people setting in back with a full livewell, and would like some added rough water performance. I would like to stick with bennett hydraulic tabs because of their customer service and my experience with them in the past. I am currently looking at their 8×10 tabs, which after measuring my need some slight trimming to clear my kicker. Has anyone else installed tabs, and if so what size and loction.
    Thanks,
    Nick

    Hi Nick,

I have a set of Lenco standard mount 9×12’s on my 2016 2060.
Clears the kicker and boarding ladder.
    Love them.

If you could post a picture of their mounting location it would be greatly appreciated. I didn’t see how they would still allow me to use my ratchet tie downs with the 12’s.
    Thanks again

The 2018 WX2060 I saw prepped and ready for delivery at SBC had the Lenco limited space tabs on it and the stern trailer ratchets had been relocated to the spot on the trailer where the LED corner marker had previously been. Charlie commented that the hole left from the corner LED removal was perfect for the mounting bolt of the buckle.

I presume you would need to do something similar with either the standard size Lenco tabs or Bennett tabs.

Also need to look into PowrTrans new Trim tabs. I have 9×9’s going on my 2017 2060.

I would like to know what the part number is for that boarding ladder in the picture?

Hi Joejk81, give Skeeter Boat Center a call at their Ramsey location.

Ask for Eric Rehberg, mention its my boat, he’ll be able to look up the number as he ordered and installed it.

Just wanted to post an update on the tabs. First rough water trip yesterday, and it is a whole new boat. No bouncing and a much improved ride. On plane at 20-25mph in some slop. For the price I would add these again in a second. I went with the 9×12 lencos. Also porpoising is gone with the slightest amount of tab.

That’s really great to hear. Do you have the tabs with the read out, or just the up down switch with no read Out? Also did you have to drill a 3″ hole for the switch in the dash?

I did not get the read out. I have run tabs for quite a while on other boats. It won’t take long for you to know where they are by the feel of the boat. I did have to mill the hole in the aluminum dash but not a big deal

I am very familiar with tabs and there operation. Had them for 5 years on a bay boat we had at winter house in Texas on Padre Island. Really needed them there for the extremely shallow water we ran in. Some of the best fishing in the state, just a 100 yds out of my house. Thanks for the reply on the dash switch. Were your tabs 9 wide or 12 wide?
