I took delivery of mine last October of “17” so up until just this spring I hadn’t used the live-well. Works well, (pumps and drain) but the problem is support below or around it, especially when full. Between the door pull edge of the live-well and the rod locker is a strip of deck approximately 1 1/2″ wide and 12″ long that divide the two. That strip has 3 screws and nuts that hang the plastic live-well as well as the other 3 sides of the opening. The live-well goes under the rod locker towards the consel almost another 24″ without any support. When the live-well is full of water and fish the small strip between the live-well and rod locker goes up and down while under way. Now the strip gas a quarter inch sag in it lower then the rest of the surface. 2 other same type boats I know of have the same problem and wondering how many more have this going on.

I know that Lund is discontinuing the Rebel XS line and moving to the Adventure. The videos I have seen of it has no front livewell. It holds 10 rods in the center locker and the back is just like the Impact XS models

I have a 2018 rebel1750 xs it has done the same thing twice . First time out live well sunk into hull broke all the supports took back to dealer they contacted lund and replaced the front deck , well 3 months later i get it back go to lake and today live well sunk again and looks like crap deck is broken again now i am really mad this is a design problem and lund is going to get my boat back i guess i will try and find a better built boat but don’t want to sell it to someone else. I bought a lund because of the reputation they have but looks like its going down to

Any chance they could add support from the bottom. Maybe some kind of marine grade foam that is not affected by gas, etc?

Good luck getting in contact with lund i have tried to talk to them they said contact the dealer, my dealer has replaced the floor once and said the did support it better. But if they did its the same as it was before and only used it once.. LUND will not talk to their customers only dealers and i here that thats also hard to get support but they have no problem taking your money when you order a boat.. all i want is a boat i can use that doesn’t break when you use it . But seems LUND COULDN’T CARE LESS ABOUT THAT

More brilliant design, build quality, and customer service from the midwest walleye boat manufacturers. coffee

Don, by all means contact your dealer and hassle them to fix it. But demand a REAL fix, not just tacking the thing together with screws and duct tape until it fails again… Tell them to go back to the engineering geniuses at Lund and have them come up with a REAL fix. The problem is bad design, so nothing but a new design will fix this.

Personally, I think you’d be better off trying to engineer your own fix in the meantime. As annoying as that is to have to do on a new boat, that’s midwest walleye boat quality for you these days. Doesn’t matter what flavor it is.

I’d be tempted to take it in to a place like Anchor Marine and see what they could do for you.
