So not turkey hunting still for a couple weeks so it’s plot time.We got the tractor all ready last night and did get a chance to till up one of the plots. Planting our Rye and clover tonight.

We have to extend a plot breaking up some new ground but most everything will be worked over already so things I hope will get done a faster this spring. The deer and turkeys have been hammering the small plots all winter and spring. Nice to see they are using them more then we thought would happen.

Good work. After that late snow, I was worried we’d all be planting when it finally dried up–sometime in July! Nice to see you’re in and getting r done.

Lots of guys worry that they’re going to plant a plot and then the deer won’t come to the party, but that almost never happens. Except for Sticker, obviously. Deer don’t like him. But other than that, over-use is the biggest food plotting problem most guys will encounter.

Grouse you are right every little bit helps. Sticker showed me the way to getting into plots.

I think if he put Old world pizza in the plots his deer would use them more.:)

Clover/rye plots are really coming in good also. Deer and Turkeys have been all over them. Cutting them we hope in the next couple weekends.

Falling behind a bit updating this summers plots. We have been going at it pretty good had to already do a 2nd cut on the clover and rye plots and going to have to cut one more time maybe two more times. Pictures attached are a couple weeks ago the beans and corn are really going well.

We have one plot of beans the deer just keep eating them down but that’s fine it’s at least doing what it’s supposed to. Sweet corn is growing fast we planted just around two weeks ago.

4th picture is the sweet corn

Buddy was down at our place to check on plots this Sunday. Looking good, just the one bean plot deer don’t give it a chance at all.

Clover plots are looking awesome from this spring. The deer are in them almost every day at some point.
