Streaked away with a 9-10″ inch sucker about 11 pm on a most beautiful night on the Mississippi!

Glass calm on the way back in, the kind of weather the cat guys wait all year for.

Client Vickie with her personal best flat at 34 pounds.

Nice! I was out Thursday and Friday night on the croix with nothing to show. It sure feels right with these crazy temps.

Any advice on habitat types/depths right now on the Croix? Main channel/big water or narrow channel holes? I’ve got bullheads and frozen adult shad that need to get eaten. Channels or Flatties…first come first serve!

Was out on the Croix Saturday night from 7pm-1 and got skunked. Really hoping to upgrade my PB 27 lber! Wasn’t thinking it was going to be too tough….

I went out one night, got a couple male channels that think it is time to spawn today. Huge heads and aggressive. Got a small flatty. I thought the full moon might make it a bit rough in the middle of the night. After it rose, it was real quiet.

Far from a PB, but tied into this nice 17 pounder last Saturday night on a green sunfish.

Not huge fish but a 24 # my buddy caught while we were out last week. The part that’s interesting is the cut going across it’s head. Almost like it got ran over by a prop. The cut was deep enough you could see it’s skull. But it wasn’t deep enough to stop its appetite.

It’s amazing the spawning instinct these fish have and how fast they can heal.

First 40+ pounder of the year. Caught her tonight, couple glamour shots and back she went. Live bluegill for bait, caught at 11:40pm. Weight was a touch over 41 pounds.

Steven your having too much fun. My old man used to tell me nothing good happens after midnight… He didn’t flathead fish )
At the time I didn’t either, so probably was wise advice lol.

    Nice job!!

A few big flats from the last month and a half. All fish were released unharmed.

I hate to see it come to an end too. Strange year with the water up and down the whole season. Not my best year but I put a few nice fish in the boat.

I had an even more impressive string of SKUNKS too. Between the Skunks and the Twins it was not a good season.
