Happy Holidays. Trying to get some info and don’t know who to ask.

Quick question… living in the tundra my boat is in storage for a few months and isn’t accessible.

I have a killer deal on a talon and would like to install directly on the transom with the supplied bracket.

As the pros, do you see any issues why I couldn’t? I just need the access inside the back storage to grab the nuts (yikes?) to fasten the bracket. Working on memory there should be room.

Need your advice before I purchase. I’m like 95% there is room, but don’t want to purchase then not be able to return by the time I have access to it. At the cost of a sand-which bracket and pulling the motor not sure there is enough value for me to move forward.

    Thanks

We have done several directly to the transom.

If it helps, I find 10’ talons to be the perfect size. Deeper than the 8’ which a buddy of mine has and regrets for always being just barely too short. The 10s are also just the right height not sticking up much further than the top of the engine. The 12s get pretty high. I use mine every outing and very glad that I have 2. I did not run into a single instance where I wished that space was occupied by a kicker….but I’m a caster, not a troller. Talons are just awesome at the boat ramp. Between the talons and the new MK spot lock system, you can ditch those back breaking anchors. Here is what they look like mounted on a WX1910.

Doesn’t the 1910 have a jackplate? I would go off that instead of drilling holes in the transom. Not to say you can’t do it. It would work fine and I have seen a couple mounted directly to the transom.
