The big 10 is still showing up at home

A few new ones showed up the last two weeks. 1st pictures of the year from the “highline” due to loss of a card with pictures from June & July. 2nd year hunting this highline stand and 3 are bigger then my best ever buck last year.

With the season getting close I figured I would throw up a few more.

Nothing real impressive this card pull, but still plenty of bucks around and looks like most are now hard horned

My best up and comer showed up again. I don’t think he’s any older than 3.5. Hope he sticks around for another 2-3 years so I can see what he turns into.

My buddy finally got my cameras pulled. I don’t have them yet but he said I have 20,000 pics to go through. He did send me a pic of a nice bear from June.

If your pictures turn out like mine have been lately, all you will see is a blade of grass move back and forth.

Daylight pics even

We found the big 10 back from last year. He finally showed back up last week, but now he is 13 points. Also have a couple new good looking bucks that just showed up last week

This new 3rd main beam buck showed up again. Hadn’t seen him since mid summer. Can’t tell how old he is. But I think it would be cool to shoot a 3rd beam buck.

One thing that I find a little bit of a downer this time of year is that my 2 bigger bucks have both gone totally nocturnal. No more daytime pictures for the last few weeks. I had nice daylight pics from June to September.

Maybe now with the full moon past they’ll do some evening feeding, but it’s just kind of a downer to see all kinds of pics at 1:18 AM and then nothing for weeks on end inside of legal shooting hours.

It’s mid October, most mature deer will go nocturnal during this period for one reason or another. By the end of October they will be back to day time activity. I see it every year. Patients grasshopper…

This guy has been quite active during the day now.not Huge by anymeans, but enough to enjoy sitting out and watching them

The big boy is back at home. I don’t think I have a pic of him since the very end of August. He came to check this scrape, hope he continues to keep checking in and during daylight would be nice. Date and time are obviously wrong…

Not a giant by any means, but I have been seeing this guy out of my living room window a bunch this week. Put up a new camera 100 yards behind my house. Checked it after a day to make sure it was working right and already had several pics of him…I have hardly seen any bucks in our valley at all this year, but in the last 2 weeks, I have seen bucks 11 different times, mostly during daylight hours. Its on!!!

Looked through pictures and haven’t seen this guy. Lot of movement on this day between all our stands. Hopefully he shows up next weekend.

Possibly this one from August 2016. Abnormally tall G2’S (compared to others we see) and the start of the “claw” on the end. Would have trouble passing this year (would be my biggest).

I was in the wrong stand. This is a 20 shot at most and 6pm

It was very quiet summer on my trail cams at my house but have been seeing a few over the last week. This one took on my 3d Target Wednesday night.

Pretty cool doe pics, and a nice buck.

Well I have no idea what Buck this is but he’s a dandy! Welcome to the Iowa rut. Just never know what might walk by. He’s 12 yards from my stand in this pic haha

Still got the big 10 showing up regularly, but can’t see him on the hoof in daylight YET! Couple other nice deer around too.
