I’m covering most of the distance just walking, using the terrain as best I can, while being careful not to silhouette myself on the skyline. When I feel I cant walk any further I drop to my hands and knees and lay my bow across my shoulders. If you let the sight and stabilizer straddle your neck/head the bow doesn’t seem to go anywhere. I’m wearing the cheap white cover ups I wear when coyote hunting. It’s amazing how the deer struggle to pick you out at all unless you start crunching corn stalks. The first night there was some wind blowing the stalks around, and the deer were completely oblivious to me. The little buck in the pic was in front of me within 60 yards for 5 mins, and he eventually walked off with no idea what had happened!
