Ok, I’ll kick this off. Not the tree stand, but a 11,000 foot meadow/tundra and road side while driving up the mountain in the morning

Back along the river tonight. I usually pride myself in scent control but I’m stinking hot today. It’s a long walk in and there was no way around working up a sweat.

It was a great weekend for hunting other than the hot weather Sunday. Saw 10 deer mostly does but it felt great to be back out there.

I had zero signal from the stand Saturday night so I couldn’t post. Had this year and a halfer come in, make a rub, hit a licking branch, make a scrape then spend about 15 minutes within 10 yards of the tree watching a doe group about 30 yards away. He finally put his nose to the ground and ran up and bumped them. 1 minute later a 2.5 year old came by and trotted up to get in the chase. Seems way early for this kind of rut activity…even for the younger bucks.

Hard to see him with all the leaves but he’s there

First time hunting at home. Here is the view. Dry beans, crp, and not yet dry beans

Jumped in the boat and headed for some public land I have been scouting. From the two trips I have taken out to this spot it looks promising.

Sitting in a ground blind with my brother over an alfalfa field. Hopefully the rain stops just in time.

Made it out last night and seen 8 bucks and 4 does all the bucks were fighting with each other. Could of smoked a 125 incher no problem but he’s not what I want. I’ll take the wife out this week and see if she can kill him.

2nd sit at home. Hoping to not get rained on again. Trail cams are giving me confidense, along with 2 fresh scrapes

Smoked a big ole nanny last night a whopping 5 yard shot. If you have never used scentblockers DUI. It’s similar to nose jammer but I sprayed it on the leaves walking in and within 20 min she was eating everything I sprayed it on. Nice quick short hunt.

I was off to a rough start this season but finally had a few does come through last night. I do have a bonus tag but never had a opportunity to make a shot.

I got home to fresh cut beans next door. Got the right wind so I gotta hunt tonight, even though I am leaving tomorrow for a week in Canada. Only a big guy gets it tonight. Little forky just came by

I don’t have overly high hopes of seeing anything tonight, but at least it finally feels a little like fall and I’m up in a tree.

Figured I might as well kick off the bow season in the same stand I ended last year’s season in.

Quiet night for me but did find a arrow stuck in a tree about 10′ of the ground.
