Ok, so I passed on the Impact with the 60 hp motor, thanks to all who commented, which made my decision easier. I did get a 2016 167t Impact with a 75 horse. Just need to add fore & aft deck mates and then find a cover solution. Most of the season the boat sits on a lift at my lakefront home. Any suggestions for good covers that will cover TM and deckmates. Or do I have to go with a custom made cover?

First off, NICE boat and you made the right choice by holding out for a bigger motor. I have a custom snap cover but my boat sits in my driveway. I would think a snap cover would be easer to put on while in the boat as it sits on the lift VS using a rope pull tight style but that’s me.

I’d get a custom snap cover. A little more spendy but easier to get on and off and will last along time. The custom cover on my boat is 12 years old and has been on it almost everyday in all weather conditions.

If it were me.. If it sits on a lift “under roof” I would just get a fits all cover to throw on and off this way it will cover your trolling motor. If it’s open to the elements I’d have a much better custom made cover put on it. If it’s on a lift does it make it harder to install a cover?

Not too bad to cover. No cover, roof on lift so boat is up out of water, but exposed to the elements.
