Here are a couple so far from the Farm I hunt in Wisco. Action is super super spotty. One night I’ll wake up to 75 texts from one camera, the next 2 or 3. Looks like one good one potentially.

Got two bucks so far that look to be shooters. First and second pics is this freaky buck from last year looks like he is back this year. He’s really late in growth this year last year he grew until mid September. I think he will be 3 this year.

The biggest ones looks like he will be a nice 8 with split brow. The other is from law may got to get back in there to check them.

Ooops. Selected one of the wrong photos and can’t edit.

Here’s Bulwinkel. This is the second year I’ve been watching him, he’s just a very handsome deer. He was a 6 last year and looks to be a 6 again this year, but his spread looks to be bigger.

Hopefully 2 years of feeding mineral are starting to pay off a little.

Up at the farm this weekend and got this guy on cam. I think it the one I called heartbraker last year. He is doing well for this early in the summer.

Just got back from a quick trip to Nebraska to get out a few cameras and some mineral. I was able to scout for the evening and next morning and saw some promise in this new property.

Lots of deer activity all around the property. Saw one good buck that was a long ways off, at last light so I didn’t get a picture. The next morning I started walking around and came across a bachelor group of 4. Nothing big, but snapped a picture of an 8. The deer in the front, his leg was stuck in the “up” position and was limping around on 3 legs. I wonder what happened to him.

I just got a new Zeiss Diascope 85 spotting scope and that thing is the bomb. I can’t believe I hadn’t invested in one earlier. Crazy good at low light even with the high magnification.

All and all I can’t wait to get back out there and collect the photos!

I don’t have a buck on camera with more than 15″ to show for it, so here is one of my most visited doe and fawn to the minerals.

I never really see bucks until like 3 weeks or so before rifle season. When season comes the cam blows up with bucks. I have plenty of does and two little clover plots. Any thoughts on why I am not seeing the bucks.

Last fall while pheasant hunting in SD, we saw a rooster pheasant that was following a group of 5 deer. Wherever they went, he went as the deer moved around a picked bean field eating. The rooster would just mingle with the herd. The deer looked very annoyed. The pheasant seemed to think he was just one of the gang.

I get 1 – 2 pics a day of pheasants sitting on that thing when there is dew on the ground.

Thanks going to give it a shot. Unfortunately he will be consuming most of my time this fall. But hope to get him early.
