Please let me know if you have any questions. Also put your name up on this post if you plan on fishing the event. This will give me a idea of how many people to expect. 5th year going on this event. Looking forward to fishing with everyone again and some socializing in the park afterwards.

As always you dont have to fish the contest to join us for a day of fishing or the pot luck afterwards.

Looks like we got about 15 teams so far. Looking forward to seeing you guys there again this year. Was just checking out the long range forecast this morning for next weekend. So far its calling for 70 and sunny. Might be the warmest temps we have had so far for this contest. Seem to remember a few years with frost on the windows while getting the boat ready to go.

Just to verify, what type of camera do we need? Will a smartphone work?

Yep. Just about any camera or phone will work. I need to be able to see the winning pictures at the end of the contest and then they also need to be posted on IDO, my Facebook page or both after the contest. No sense in having a photo contest if we dont show off the photos.

Just about everything is going to run like the last year for the contest. Ill have a registration table set up at the landing by 7am. Take off at 8 in front of the landing. Ill be down to park diner at 6 or a little earlier that morning also for a quick bite to eat.

Still plan on having the potluck get together in the park after the contest. Same place across the walking bridge if we can get it. Bring a grill or two as I think the one there never got fixed this summer. Ill bring some trash bags, table cloths. Weather looks like its going to be fantastic out for this.

We have some great prize sponsors again this year. Skeeter Boat Center, Prescott Bait Company, BFishn Tackle. Think I still have some stuff from James Holst and Rapala to give away also. Thank you in helping make this a great event.

Anyone still looking for a partner? Let me know and Ill help to find someone.

Guys, I forgot to bring my fish fryer down from the cabin. So if someone else wants to take over the fish fry like last year, have at it!

Not sure what I’m bringing yet, but I’ll have something to share.

I’ve still got some good fillets from canada this summer I’d be willing to bring. Don’t have anything portable to fry them in though. If someone wants to bring a frier and oil, I’ll bring the fish and some batter.

Looks like we are sitting at about 20-21 teams right now. Pretty good turn out for this little event. Still room for a few more if anyone wants to get in.

Think the cameras required was covered in a post above. Just a standard camera with back display or cell phone camera is all that is needed. I just need to be able to see the photos at the end of the contest.

For measuring the fish a standard fish measuring board is fine. Fish photos will be taking on this board with the control item. Control items will be handed out at registration Saturday morning. As I do plan on fishing the contest again this year Ill have someone else provide my control item.
