nothing today…. Can’t beat the weather though… I had a trail cam set about 20 yards down the trail from my stand, I picture in a week and it was me walking to the stand

Wet foggy boat ride to the stand this morning. I have not been out to this spot since shotgun season.

Shot an injured buck last night. Front leg hit at the knee. He had shed both antlers already. Put him out of his misery.

I am pretty sure it was the injury that caused the early drop. I just skun him and he had zero fat. The doe my son shot had a good inch of fat on her hind quarter.

One last sit with the muzzy. Probably won’t shoot unless I see a giant, like high tower

My last sit at the farm for the year with the bow. Lots of sign, good wind, cool Temps and plenty of snow

Sitting in the back plot at home tonight. Lots of geese flying over. Thinking of running back for the Benlli

Season is coming to the end, a guy has to sit every chance he gets. Out here tonight over the pretty much eaten bean plot. Hoping for one more chance. Heck, even a yote would make me smile right now.

I got dressed and then stepped outside to 25mph winds with gusts to 30. I went back inside and sat on the couch. Getting lazy in the late season. If I had a food source to hunt locally I would have gone out…. Maybe.

Boy it is windy tonight. It’s in the perfect direction for this stand, but a little strong. Oh well, can’t shoot one from the couch. Hopefully the deer are looking for the cover of this pine stand and the food of this 1/2 acre bean plot.

Sitting in this tree tonight is like riding a bull. Holy hanna. Don’t think it’s going to pay off either. Only 10 minutes left and nothing yet

Sat for awhile this morning before making my rounds for Christmas today. Hoping to get back out over the weekend.

Couple inches of fresh snow and fresh tracks in the snow. Pulled cards and Hightower is back for the first time since september. Nice night to wait for him to show in legal shooting time.

Looking over a 1/4 acre bean plot this morning, which surprisingly still has a lot of beans in it. Trail cams show some good activity here the last couple days. Cool northwest wind will hopefully get them coming to food early.

Back in the corner stand tonight. Only 3 chances left for me after tonight. Hopefully something happens soon.

2 days left after tonight, have to take every chance I can. Left work early to get in stand over standing beans before the snow flies. The deer beat me to it. 2 does and a fawn in the plot when i came out, hopefully they come back. Windy and cool tonight, but not bad for December 28th

Sitting on the same 1/2 acre standing bean plot tonight. Tonight and tomorrow night is it. Kind of bittersweet, I am wore out from hunting so much, but at the same time, tomorrow will be my last sit for 9 months. That’s scary, a human can grow a baby in that time

Good advise Randy, I ended my deer season last night…think I’ll start yote hunting this weekend.
