-let’s keep it going men!
They were on the beds in Canyon Lake when we were down visiting last week. Where are the Florida spawn pictures?
Connor slipped releasing that fish and had to get 13 stitches in his leg, should be interesting with turkey hunting bass fishing coming fast.

March 30, 2015 at 8:52 pm #1529081As you probably know, I am shore bound for now. I have for the most part just fished my ponds, because it doesn’t make sense going any where else. I’ve seen tilapia beds, but now bass. I assume most of them are done, but it is more staggered down here.
I fished for about 15 minutes on the Saint Johns…in one spot. I think most of the spawn is done down here, but what do I know.
Sorry to here about Conner slipping! That’s not cool. Every release should be an enjoyable and rewarding one.
The boat is creeping up the list of purchases. Michelle is Jonesing for one, but it needs to accommodate sunbathing.

Well done sir!FryDog62Posts: 3696June 10, 2015 at 8:12 am #1549482Nothing especially large, but there is not much better than watching your childrens’ excitement. Our son is 3, and he’s turning into quite the fisherman!

Cool. The only thing more satisfying for than catching a fish is seeing kids catch fish and their excitement.

June 11, 2015 at 5:55 am #1549651This is what my 4 year old caught last night. I have never experienced this first hand before. I am so proud of her and she has so much fun fishing.

June 11, 2015 at 12:36 pm #1549747Nice fish, Scott! I love when rock bass get big. We used to catch some tanks on the Mississippi near Sartell.
June 15, 2015 at 11:32 pm #1550265We’ve been out a lot since school got out. Not one of the giants we caught during practice but enough to take the pot for big bass.

June 15, 2015 at 11:53 pm #1550272Was up to mille lacs this weekend for my own bachelor party, on friday morning before everyone go into town I took my best man out to look for some smallies. He was using a wacky worm. Once when he went to jig it, his rod is doubled over and says to me “dude, I’m snagged”. I looked and saw the rod tip twitch, told him it was a fish, he didn’t believe me for about 5 more seconds until it started to run on him. Measured out to 19.5″. Monster.

June 18, 2015 at 8:26 am #1550786The kids and some of their friends were up this past weekend for four days. Due to the amount of people we used the pontoon to drift over a large flat that runs about 10′ deep ,mostly cabbage with large areas of sand mixed in. both the smallies and Largemouth were very active. the best producing presentation was a blue wacky worm. Everyone had a blast.
Ralph, I hooked another tank Rock Bass! It caused me to look up the State record. Two fish tied at 2 LBs even, one 12.5″ and one 13.5″.

June 19, 2015 at 9:17 am #1551014I’ll take the award for the smallest bass pic so far! I was fishing for sunnies and this little guy came flying out of the water. I can see why bass fishing is so much fun. Even the little ones are fun to bring in!
