2015 Annual Everts Chili Contest!

    Will be held Saturday, March 21st from 11am to 2pm or when ever.

    Bring your BEST Chili Recipe (Venison, Beef, Turkey, SPAM, Mushrooms…ect.).

    HOT or Mild…All are welcome.
    Side dishes and toppings welcome as well.

    $5 entry fee with a 100% payout
    70% first place 30% for second place.

    12:00 Noon Chili Hot
    1:00 Judging starts
    2:00 Awards

    Bring your crock pots and see ya there.

    Fishing optional.

    Kari and Steve (and the part time under paid help BK)

    PS Steve will be out of the judging this year as he’s entering his own “blend”.

    I might have to submit an entry since I will be up there that week. Depends on if I get time to make a batch before heading up. Who puts mushrooms in chili?

    Yessir. A long time ago there was a big discussion about whether mushrooms could be put in chili. Senior citizen porn was my take on it. I’ve seen the comparison made multiple times on this website since. I’ve never been so proud.

    I searched for the original post, but couldn’t figure out how to find it. I know, and that’s enough for me. I think it was from the first or second Evert’s chili contest. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was 5 years ago…

    They will be shutting down hah BOTH reactors just after the Chili Contest for safety reasons.
