2013 Skeeter Factory Wiring and Newer MinnKota Trolling Motors

    I have a 2013 MX1825 that has a Minnkota Terrova 80 on it from the factory. if I wanted to upgrade the trolling motor to a newer 2021+ Minnkota Ulterra trolling motor, can I use all the same wiring, connector and fuse?

    Joe,

    You’ll need:
    6awg wire
    60 amp fuse
    plug also rated for 60 amps

    If you already have all that you should be able to keep everything the same.
    If you currently have the four prong plug in I’d replace that. They are rated for 50 amps. Replace it with this.

    If the Ulterra you are considering buying is a 80# thrust you should be good to go with what is currently on your boat.

    yes, I want to keep in 24volt and 80 lbs of thrust…
