2005 Minn Kota Riptide 70 voltage

    I have a 2005 Minn Kota Riptide that I thought was 24 volts. I can’t get power to the motor through the control board. When I look at the control board I see a Tyco 12-volt DC relay in the middle of the board. Am I just really getting 12 volts to the motor? Is this a 12-volt instead of a 24 volt motor?

    Not familiar with riptides but I think 55# is max for 12v

    I found a label that says “24 volt 70 lb thrust RT/AP”. So it looks like it is 24 volt but I’m confused about the 12 vdc relay on the control board.

    could it be the power head needs 24 volts but auto pilot and steering only needs 12 volt?

    That would be my guess but I just had 2 long islands…..
