It’s a neat product but just not worth $80-100 to me. Like the other guys said if it’s really cold out I’ll just go in my flip over or hub and be alot more comfortable

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with that opinion.
I’m guessing Mahto and Eelpout have some small equity stake in the company. Either that or have short positions in the ice scooper guys….
Once you use one you’ll know.
fyi – i got no skin in the game.

I purchased my Ice Defense just like everyone else. I happen to really enjoy using it and aside from the fact that the owner is a quality individual and wishing for his company succeed I don’t see the problem in supporting a company.
I don’t care if you want to use a scoop. Go ahead. But if you enjoy having nice things that do their job well, and you don’t mind spending the money, this is a great product.
Just because we say a product works means we have a stake in the company?
Just jerkin’ your chain, I don’t truly believe you have ownership in any companies. Nice to hear the proprietor is a good guy, though.

Understood. Sarcasm is tough when you’re reading it on a screen. To all the neigh sayers, I get, it’s not cheap, but when you actually use one and see how well it works it’s a product you can get behind.
I have met the owner and his twin brother is a business associate of mine. This is a good solution for those that do not fish in a shelter with heat.
Add me as a fan of Ice Defense as well. It does what it is marketed to do. It’s nice if you want to be outside in the sun on a 25-30 degree day and still have your hole clean. Yeah, it’s a little spendy, but there is other ice fishing gear out there where I felt I also paid a premium to own (flashers, rods, etc.).
The Reel Shot has the Ice Defense Pro Series for $62.99 right now. 9 in stock
Jump on those deals because the 20% off deal ended yesterday. That’s a great price.
FYI – It was 4 degrees yesterday morning out on the lake and had zero ice in my hole.
Unfortunately zero fish also.

We fished Lacrosse Tuesday and Wednesday and Wednesday morning it was 4 there also and I’m very impressed with that thing absolutely works as advertised. I purposely left the slush in my hole and after about 30 minutes completely clear at single digits.
-5 to -10 this morning when I was out and I used it on an ifishpro and on my Helix and it still melted the ice and kept the hole ice free. The other holes I cut were iced over in minutes. When I hole hopped I’d pop the thin layer of ice that had formed, dropped my Ice Defense in and usually by the time I was done fishing that whole (if fish were in it 5-10 minutes) the ice was melted and I’d repeat in the other holes I was fishing.
I manhaul my gear, so weight is a big deal. I use 12” carpet squares as foot pads in my hut and to cover my tip up holes. This product seems pricey and not much better than other (lighter) options.
End of the season deal going on now. 25% off using promo code “ID25” until March 16.
