Fished from midnight to 5:15 am today. Did better than I thought we would. 12, 14, 23, 19, 21, 20.5, 17, 19.5, 19. Really surprised that 4 fish in the slot were caught. Forecast said 5mph winds. Seemed more like 15-20 to me.

We fished from 10 to 2 and caught a 25 and 24 with one lost at the boat. We were trolling cranked in 10 to 13 ft. Saw a few net getting used in Vineland Bay.

The wind kicked up big time at home last night. I was thinking perfect timing to make fishing a challenge for you.

I was out last night for a short time. The Minn-Kota was running between 8 and 10 in anchor mode. Didn’t catch anything.

We tossed out the corks on the West side. We ended up with 11 eyes. We were on the rocks in about 16 FOW. Leeches and Shiners

Most all were 10 to 15 inches. A good sign )

Very sad to see the lack of boats. Fewest I have seen on opener in 10 years for sure.

Very sad to see the lack of boats. Fewest I have seen on opener in 10 years for sure.

I’ve heard people say this over and over on here, and was my first time up there for opener and I was amazed on how many boats there were. Just not use to high traffic bodies of water.

Guess I’m use to my solitude, which I enjoy very much.

Although everyone seemed to get along good, even had a nice fellow come check on me when they didn’t see anyone in the boat cause I decided to take a nap midday in the bottom. sleeping
