I am +1 in the rod department. Pulled up a nice musky combo a couple years ago which I happened to hook through the eyelet. But like Iceasylum I lost o PX set of sunglasses this year. .

Only rod I ever lost was 4 years ago. Bought 2 Croix Extremes with the new black handles. Was out in about 3 foot waves on Pete. Trolling motor was coming out of the water on some of the bigger waves. My son hooked a nice eye so trying to net it got my line wrapped in the trolling motor prop. I killed the motor and as I leaned over to pull it up lost my balance and hit the max button on the foot pad. It ripped the rod right over the side of the boat. Good bye to $525. I marked it on gps and tried several times to get it back but no luck. bawling
On the flip side I have snagged 5 rods and reels over the years and if you added all of them together I got about $100 back.

Lost a for on pool 4 in the spring about 15 yrs ago. Was helping someone in the boat land a fish and down went my rod. A few minutes later in the same area I heard a guy day on boy a nice rod! I shouted to him it was mine and he said no. Then I proceeded to tell him the make and model of the feel and the make and model of rod, the line color a c the jig color and he still didn’t believe till I trolled over to his boat and stood up at 6’5″ and about 2 70 bills suddenly he believed my description.
