    Hello All,

Recently purchased an 88 lund baron 2100V(4.3/205hp/OMC), so far absolutely love this boat. Have been going through maintenance items and ran into an issue that I haven’t been able to solve with google ;-)

I’m looking for a pic/photo/diagram of the fuse layout(placement/size) in both the side panel and the main dash. I can’t read any of the desctriptions/lettering on the panels.

I do have the OMC wiring diagram which gets me partway there, but frankly I would have to pull the panel’s off and ID the wire colors to figure out which fuse is which.

Any assistance would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

    Mike in Minnesota

this may sound like a dumb idea, but it has worked for me when I cant find a schematic,if everything currently works, hook a battery charger to keep the battery from draining while you do this, turn everything on,then one by one, pull the fuses and see what quits, then label from there, take heed that you will want water in the boat/or boat in the water if you have the baitwell/livewell/bilge pump run for very long if they are of the rubber impeller type, hope this helps!!

Thats a good idea, though I think it would only get me part way there. Most of the fuses on the dash are easy enough to figure out, since they are tied to marked switch, its the five or six on the side panel that I’m struggling with.

The wiring diagram suggests 3 or so, are involved in the starting circuit, so not sure if I could dial in which is which.

    thanks for the tip,

    M

I would be willing to bet that one of them is for power trim, one for the start circuit as you mentioned. and I would guess that the last one,if it is a high amperage fuse,is either system power,or the charging fuse. and yes, they do power a lower amperage fuse with one of a higher amperage fuse.

Trim is on the dash with the switch
