I don’t get it. Why would someone pay $20 to drive into the fairgrounds and pay $4 for a corn dog and $20 for two dozen cookies. Without nuts in them to boot.
I’m sure people think plenty of us on here are idiots when it gets cold in November yet we want it colder to make fishable ice.
To…each…their…own.
Doesn’t bother nor affect me in the least, in fact I hope it’s a double win in that they get their fair food fix and business people get some cashflow.

Who cares they are pumping much needed money into the local economy
I bet half them vendors are not even from MN
Most vendors are Minnesota based and hit the state fair here and North Dakota. I have known a few through the years and they need to make their money in the summers.
As far as the food thing at the fair………..who really cares? If people want to get out and do something so be it. They probably think it’s a bit crazy to go fishing all the time too.
They probably wonder why idiots pay $5000. to $70,000. for a boat and gear to catch fish you could buy for $10 to $20 per lb.
My son’s family will be there but I won’t.
I could go for a 4 dollar corn dog right about now
Same. A handful of Martha’s cookies with some whole milk too. Maybe a maple bacon beer or four if I’m not driving. Plus a bottle of really dark honey from the 4H building to take home. It’ll have to wait until next year. Driving down there and eating in the car doesn’t appeal to me at all. It doesn’t capture the sights, sounds, smells, and experiences of the State Fair at all. However, to each their own.

These guys have been in Rochester malls parking lot for a couple months. They have moved over to Owatonna for a bit but planning to come back. And they are good!! The curds are excellent as well!
