1875 Pro V Bass XS Jack Plate

I purchased an 1875 pro v bass last year and am having trouble with side imaging. I am 98% sure its due to the mounting of the transducer and it being impeded by the motor. If I tilt it just right and go at a very slow pace I can get it to clear up but that isnt ideal. Has anyone installed a jack plate on their pro b bass and if so what setback? Was it for the same issue I am describing?

The dealer told me Lund hasnt done testing on how much of a setback you can run but I was told it wont void the warranty on the transom. I am thinking a 4″ or 6″ would be appropriate but would love any feedback.

I ran into the same issue with my 1875. After talking to a few Humminbird electronics pros I’ve decided to go with 2 SI transducers. One on the left and one on the right of the transom. Installing this month. Will let you know how it goes.

I just talked to my dealer about this option and they stated that since I only have the one graph on the console I would lose my high speed transducer. In order for me to have the left, right and high speed transducers I would need to have a second graph at the console.

I have the 8 inch jack plate on my PVB and all seems to work fine.

I am debating adding a 6″ Z Lock to mine. The price for the second transducer was $590 (installed) and the price for the jack plate was $875 (installed). I dont know if a manual jack plate adds much for performance on my boat (Merc 150) so I was leaning towards the second transducer but if I have to add a new graph and mounts the cost for that will be much higher than the jack plate.

    Tim,
My 2 (right and left) SI units are hooked up together with a Y cable. So I have one SI cable and 1 high speed ducer that runs to the back of my Helix 12 Mega SI G3 unit.
I have not been on the water yet to see how it works yet.

I attended the Jason Heflin seminar back in February and this was discussed. What Bird says is correct. Good luck.

I left a voicemail with the dealer about this. I will keep you updated. Thank you for the information.

I just got off the phone with Humminbird Tech Support and they told me there is no way to run three transducers to one head unit. Just to be clear, I am trying to run a L and R SI transducer and a highspeed transducer.

I am running the Helix 12 SI G4 at the console. I am not very technical so if anyone could provide photos of their setup that would help me a lot.

I just found this image from IDO post from 2015, I wonder if this will still work.

    Tim,
Your pic is exactly how mine is setup. Not sure why HB tech support would tell you its not possible. You will need the “Y” to connect the 2 SI ducers.
Unfortunately I had to send my new HB unit back to HB as the SD card slot does not work. So will have to wait until it comes back to see how the SI works.

Third time was the charm at Humminbird. They not only said it will work but that they strongly recommend it for my exact scenario. Just need to teach my dealer how to do it now. Thanks everyone.

    Tim,
If you are close to Brainerd I’d recommend Andy from Fish Electronics. He did not install mine but was the one that told me about how to rig it up. He is not affiliated with the Fish Electronics in Spring Lake Park.
    Good luck

    Tim,
Are you able to get Mega DI to read using the 2 Mega SI transducers? I need to call Humminbird as I do not get Mega DI using the 2 SI ducers reading left and right. I know the graphs work with DI as they work off the trolling motor DI ducer.
    Thx

    Bird,

I only had it out once very quick and only checked SI which was working great. I will have it out again this week and will check and report back.
