1875 Impact XS Storage

A couple of questions re: storage on 1875 Impact XS –

    1. What works well for storing rods on the bow when fishing? Do folks glue velcro straps to the floor? Just don’t want to keep putting rods underneath/getting them out when moving – would be nice to leave a couple of rods on deck.

    2. What storage boxes are folks using in the under drawer storage? I see Plano boxes are used but can’t find which sizes. What options have worked well here?

    3. Any specific storage boxes used for tools and other necessities that have worked well?

    I have the 1775
When in the bow I lean 2 rods in the corner by the windshield on the side I am NOT fishing out of and one in my hands. Not ideal but don’t like them laying on the floor.
I also have the stow and go on the driver’s side. Made them myself as the Lund product was well over $100-$150 .
I used 2 golf tubes ( that you used to put in golf bags for each club), 1 solid ( no cutouts) black, plastic outlet cover and bought a two packs of the velcro straps from Cabelas. Less than $23.00 and about 1/2 of time. If you are interested I will share in detail how I did it (pics too).
I did NOT get the drawers for mine – built my own set up. THe two boxes hold all of my plastics and the 4 boxes next to them my jigs, Jerkbaits etc. Built it out of PVC board so water a non issue. Any screws I used were stainless.
THe other one that shows 3 boxes I built cause that’s the DUMBEST storage compartment in the world! Right behind my driver’s seat.

THe storage boxes are the ones that measure 13.5 x 8.5 ” if that helps

Umy’s setup is so damn nice it should be offered by Lund from the factory!

I bought the same type of netting used in the bow of these boats from the factory, but in a smaller size. they fit perfectly under both consoles and serve the purpose for me perfectly. I don’t have any pics at the moment, but here’s the link to the nets I bought:

The Rig Rite 10″ x 20″ cargo net. I will agree the oval shaped compartment behind the driver seat starboard is pretty lame, and I’ve been considering converting it to a top-opening storage box. It’s just a cubby spot. Plus side about it is it’s a good place to run your ducer and electronics wiring from the transom.

    Hey Terry,
Did you ever figure out the answer for #2?
I’ve got the exact same question. My boat is on order and I want to buy some Planos while they are on sale.
    Thanks,

Thanks for the help! I actually reached out to Nick Linder on YouTube – he did a review on his 1875 Impact XS(he responded super quick which was amazing!). He said the 3600’s stand on the side. Apparently the 2075 Impacts will hold the 3700’s. My guess on the 3600’s is that each drawer will hold 6-7.

If you are asking me I actually got it at Southside marine in Bloomington, Alumacraft dealer. Charcoal gray was the color. Brought in pics from my boat from various angles and colors. Went with one that was a hair darker than my Impact. I can look for the receipt if you want exactly what I have. Just thought darker would look better than lighter. You really can’t even tell

Oh, and as Umy mentioned the Lund stow and go rod holders are absolutely not worth the money if you are even somewhat creative. I bought mine and wish I had made my own. Lund ones are starting to fall apart just 2 years later. Lund quality on the boats is great, but some of the smaller plastic type parts that they source leaves some to be desired.

Agreed, it is really set up nicely already and you have lots of options as KPE said if you are somewhat handy.
