Looking for best prop options for a 2023 alumacraft 185 trophy and a Suzuki 175. Currently I have a solas 15.3 inch 23 pitch prop. I get:
-45 mph max
-okayish holeshot
-5400-5600 rpm
-blowout when turning
-blowout at takeoff
Is your blowout while turning caused by the motor being plenty high? That’s alot of pitch for that combo in my mind but your rpms are not crazy low. I would have thought a 19-20 pitch would have been the norm which you get you near the 6100 max rpm.
Look at a 4 blade SS prop, had a 3 blade on my Trophy 175 now have a 4 blade and night and day difference on hole shot and stable cornering. You can drop down to a 21 pitch to get closer to Red line of 6000RPM also.
