3 of us fished winnie last Wednesday night through Friday night. Didn’t get started till after 9pm Wednesday night but we headed to a main lake gravel bar 12-15ft and did very well till 11pm. Thursday was good in 10-12ft cabbage beds. Wind kept us off main lake but didn’t matter. Friday morning started good on a weedy hump 12-15ft till sun came out and wind died. Struggled rest of day. Did find a few deeper rigging. But didn’t get into them again till 9pm on gravel 8-10ft. Then was really good again till 11pm. Didn’t fish Saturday morning, packed up and headed home. Boated 93 eyes, 95% fish were on 1/8oz jigs and spottails under 15ft either rip jiggin or slower pop jiggin. Big year class of 12”-14” and another 20-23”. Should be really fun fishing for the next few years.
