I bought a zero degree mount for my panoptix and now i am wondering if i have more of a view with the stock 10 degree mount? What are your opinion on this. Does anyone have first hand knowledge on what is better?
I have had both and stuck with my 0 deg. I find it easier to track baits on my setup. I have the ducer mounted on the shaft of my Ghost.
The 10 degree mount is intended for trolling motor mounting, the angle shoots the beam out over the trolling motor head instead of partially into it. The zero degree mount is intended for mounting to a pole system (like for ice fishing)
You can adjust positioning to make both work for either application, but their specific application just makes it easier…
